NHL Highlights | Rangers vs. Oilers – October 30, 2025

Adam Henrik gritty and off to an excellent start this season as we’re underway. Dut with the opening face off. The Rangers are second in the league in goals against but are next to last in the league in goals scoring as Gabricov breaks his stick. That’s Egent Hopkins playing on the line with McDavid and Majapani tonight. New York able to clear. You see Echol and Bousard reunited as a pair. Here’s a save made by Skinner. Susi jumping on. Yeah, the Rangers as they did in the 14th, a quick start for them. The first shift in the offensive zone trying to hem the dry sideline in. And this is Carson Susi as he jumps up in the play, activates, and he gets tangled up with Nan Hopkins as he follows through on the forehand side and goes right through the left pad of Skinner who wisely gets out of the way as much as he can. He’s got to make the save first though. Will Kulie wins the draw back to Susi. Paneran whips a shot. That’s redirected just wide by Kulie. Flung up the left hand side and a good pickoff by Susi. Working the offense himself. Trent Frederick starting to find his game. Emerson over to Kulak. His shot redirected on net. The save made by Igor Shurken. That’s a good save. Human nature. When the puck’s not going to the net, you’re going to start sniffing on the offensive side of things. And he’s really tried to show the players why not to do that and feels that if they heat by an in. Stepping up is Matt Seavo for the Oilers. Took a wrist shot that was blocked. The rebound handled by Frederick. Back inside to Savo. He’ll span a dish. Double deflection. Well handled by Shisten. McDavid off the draw. Hunting down that puck though will be Carrick. He’s under pressure and lost the handle. And now McDavid’s in charge of the puck. Conor McDavid scored twice in the win over Utah on Tuesday. Cross ice pass picked off. Bronzinski’s got a breakaway in on Skinner back to score. Bousard the turnover and Johnny Brzinski makes him pay. His first of the year and the Rangers take the lead. He reads this. Watch this. He’s down low but he knows this is going D to D and he’s a little bit hidden by the forward high. But at the moment he breaks out of that coverage, he knows the pass is coming across. Just a little stick to send out of the zone and give him credit. A great finish on the backhand side under pressure. Look at this. He reads this pass. DD from Bousard to Ekholm. Little stick on the puck. Sends it his way. Made a very good save on Law frontier heading into the break. Darnell Nurse takes the breakout pass and lifts to the corner for Basil Coulson who got smashed into the boards. Made the play over to Jack Roselvic showing one. Wman and then Nurse scores. Walman showed one timer. Dished and Darnell Nurse pounds home equalizer. We’re tied at one. They take that away from Miller right in front and then the passing. Walman activates out of the corner. It’s a nice pass from Ros Levik right onto the tape and he finds Darnell Nurse and he one times it doesn’t hesitate. You can see Shurken coming from right to left tries to get into that position but he’s opened up just almost get away. And now Lassovic a beautiful steal on Susie. Here’s a shot and Enrique stopped. Locker save made by Shester this game for playing a thousand games and he almost makes it 2-1. Terrific save by Shurken. Pass from Rosovvic. The laser by Henrik. Shurken says no way in the National Hockey League. Here’s Poulson. Dry Cidle in front. Quick shot. Poulson stopped by Shester coming at him. Puts it off the side of his net. That’s a turnover. They don’t get face the more shots in the first period. 15 to 10 for the Rangers. Yeah, that didn’t hurt Steuart Skinner save percentage at all. It was a 933 in that period. Has a defensive nose for the game. Plays with an edge and kind of figured coming into Nashville he was going to be a little bit more of a player. Another turnover. A save. Sterkin up top. An error. One time to wide by Vakan and puck available and Skinner able to squeeze and a good read by Susi. Breaking loose is Laierre open cherry to the net and he fired it high and wide. Wow. Bushar returns to McDavid. Power play down to 5 seconds. Dry for the game tie down low. Here’s a shot. Enrique rebound. score. [Applause] First in the National Hockey League for Matt Seavoy. Two to one Evansson. This one he’s been buzzing around and had some great opportunities. And this is Henrik’s going to get this puck. And then he just tries to feather this one through and he stays with it. The second chop goes off the Shin Pattis Avoid who’s moving closer to the puck. Bang. You get a break by being in the right spot, but it’s Adam Henrik’s second effort on the puck that doesn’t get through a boy in the first take and it’s sent in deep by Ike Howard cross ice off a deflection and that was spooned down successfully by Laf Frontier. So, a power play goal for the Edmonton Oilers, their seventh in their last 14. Here’s a shot from a sharp angle by Nurse. And just Durkin wasn’t sure where that was. Louie, his pads kind of slid beneath the goal line. And Nurse is boasting like he wouldn’t mind a quick check upstairs. And Darnell Nurse is trying to add to it as he tries to sharp angle bank off the back of Shurkish. Sturken somehow is able to hold on to this one. Whoa, I don’t know how that didn’t crawl across the line. Edmonton scoring twice in the second to break a 1-1 tie after the opening 20. And Sullivan, you didn’t have to wait too long. Stays in the Metro Division. Will breaks free, drags to his back hand, and the rebound is ripped home. Braden Schneider following it up and New York’s right back in the game at three to two. You’re going to see this. This shot from Walman gets knocked down. It’s actually Friendly Fire trying to put it on net and it goes right back to the wall. It’s chipped out of the zone. Cuey wins the race. Now, this is a terrific first save with the second one opportunity on the rebound is Schneider who gets all the way up the ice. You’re going to see him come from behind and he buries that one. Doesn’t get picked up on route to the net. He’s the human torch right now. Twoon one. Roselvic and Duttle. Gamov back. Roselvic centers. D settle denied by Shster. New York will finish up a four-game swing in Seattle while Edmonson plays host to Chicago on Saturday. The Blackhawks tasted defeat tonight in Winnipeg six to3. Here’s Radish shooting and scoring and this game is tied. The Rangers win two in the third and we’ve got a brand new hockey game. Another one. Just a puck that does not get cleared out by Boo Sharp. We talked about the sticks and knocking down pucks and this one knocked down just inside the line. It was right on the offensive line, but I think Sherry does a nice job to get on side and a little shovel pass to Taylor Radish who can really shoot the puck and that quick release right there up over the pad below the glove catches. Yeah. And and it looked like they weren’t going to be able to capitalize on him that once they got the goal by Schneider. Here’s Rosik to dry back to Roselik and it stayed out. Shusturkin was here’s the chance by Roselovic. Give and go with Dryidle. And here looks like he could shoot it. Gives it back and and now we will have overtime. Bard I don’t think will push it here. The teams will settle for a point in the tie in regulation. And now the Oilers will have a fresh sheet of ice. And David and Nan Hopkins across the front line and Bard quarterbacking. And the first possession belongs to Edmonson. And I feel like Louie Dry settles got about a 90% rate in overtime on that face off. Nan Hopkins to BAR. McDavid. Nan Hopkins. McDavid fires. Sto rebound kicked out to Bush. Darnell Nurse. He has had a phenomenal game and he might have just created a twoon-one but calls it for victory. Denied. Sterkin for a fourth time tonight. Dry settle was down and out. Louie and La Frontier did not press the advantage there. Here’s JT Miller weaving his way around dry. Miller to the net scores. And the captain completes the comeback for the New York Rangers who prevail 43 in overtime. What’s the play we just saw in overtime? A minute and 20 of power play time killed off by the Rangers. And JT Miller, who’s had great success against the Oilers in his career, especially as a Vancouver Canuck, drives this one. Goes backand to forehand. Quickly puts it by Steuart Skinners. He walks this one all the way to the net and buries it for the overtime game-winning goal on a in a game in which the Rangers score three unanswered goals to take this one down 3-1 going into the third period. They win it in overtime. Schneider and Lafrronier with the helpers and mark this one down if you’re [Music]

Braden Schneider scored to kick off a third-period comeback effort and also set up J.T. Miller’s OT-winner as the New York Rangers rallied to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3.

  1. Bouchard plays bad, Skinner can’t make a save, would also love to blame Nurse as usual but two goals….

We will never win the Cup without a goalie & reducing defensive giveaways, it’s laughable at this point

  2. Schicke Bouchard und McDavid nach Montreal, für Demidov, Suzuki und Hudson. Es ist Zeit für eine Veränderung, McDavids Zeit ist vorbei und noch bringt ein Deal eine gute Rendite.

  3. 4 goals from Rangers and 3 of them were Bouchards… Dont know why they are keeping such defenseman… ridiculous. If he is not playing with McJesus and Drai, he would have -40 every season.

  4. What pisses me off most is that post-Olympics, they'll suddenly feel like playing and we'll see a good run. This team loves to make things hard on them at the end of the season.

  5. I remember seeing a clip of Bob Stauffers dumb ass say oilers have a top 4 defense im the league. Hilarious. Colorado bottom pairs are better then oilers top easy.

  6. The Oilers' "first" pair of shameful 😂defensemen: Bouchard (-9), Ekholm (-6), and mediocre goalies with a SV rating below 0.9🤣? Not to mention the forwards, most of whom have minuses (+/-)!😝
It doesn't look very good, in my opinion.😇

  7. Bowman continues to be the most bone-headed GM in hockey. He inherited a sleeping giant in Chicago and doomed it with silly over-priced contract extensions. And he happens to repeat it in Edmonton. How in the hell did he come up with the idea to hand Bouchard an eight-figure contract? This dude is the most fraudulent player in the league.
