What a piss poor effort from our guys tonight. Allen, sucked. Hischier, sucked. Our defense? Sucked. To be clear this is not the panic button not by a long shot but dear God please Devils, get your shit together.

  1. Saying Allen sucked is incredibly unfair. Sure I would’ve loved a stop on the opening breakaway. Sure their third goal was weird as hell and probably one he wants back. But 3 goals on 30 shots is good at worst, and he made a bunch of really good saves in the first to keep us in it. The players in front of him did not show up, but Allen did

  4. Friendly Ducks fan here – great analysis video and I definitely felt similar about the Ducks many times the past few years.

    I agree that the Devils are the better team in general right now but I do want to point out that the Ducks are better than you seem to think. You said that teams like the Panthers don’t lose to lowly teams when they are hurt, but the Panthers lost to the Ducks within the last week.

  7. Allen sucked… huh? Allen was not the issue tonight. 1st goal was purely an incredible effort from a future stud in Senneceke, who has the reach of Inspector Gadget apparently, jamming the armpit of Allen while falling down and looking like he had zero control… you can’t fault Allen for that. Majority of the league is getting pumped with one there. Very few goalies are going to pass up freezing a puck right in front of them, on the edge of the crease, when they see the player on the breakaway is halfway on his ass with poor puck control. Give that kid props for that, not bag Allen.

    Second isn’t on him obviously, a defensive collapse in our own zone. The third is yes but perfection is unreasonable and letting one up you’d normally have is simply a mistake. No one says a goalie had a bad full 60 minutes for letting only one goal in. That should have been their only goal, on his fluke mistake. That’s hockey. 1 & 3 were on the D pairs

    The amount of high danger saves he had tonight is beyond respectable, Ducks were dialed, they deserve their flowers for that. Massively blowing it out of the water to say otherwise.
