  1. Mike Brown I get it OG’s out but you just can’t play a 3 guard lineup with this team, not even counting known PF Josh Hart

  2. Mikal carried so hard that second half. But we wasted it bc we couldn’t get a stop instead over committing on help defense and being slow to rotate leading to easy baskets and second chance opportunities

  3. It’s extremely rare but Captain sold the game tonight. Man, we had shit in the bag with Mikal being scorching hot

  4. At least they had the pride to make it respectable at the end, but this could have been a W if the whole team didn’t decide to actively shit themselves for two whole quarters

  5. I’m buying a Bridges Jersey. I never want to see Kolek and Brunson play at the same time again. Fuck Boston.

  6. We need to do better on the road, I do not care about this game but overall need to get Ws on the road

  7. Brunson and the bench lost us that one. It is what it is. Shame we wasted a Bridges heater, he was excellent. That second quarter lineup with KAT really needs a leash… it was out for too long

  8. Damn Brunson sold that game in the fourth. Awful game by him today. Mikal is the best Knicks player easily this season

  9. Rare JB induced loss, its a blow out if he has his usual type of bad game

Mikal proving why those picks are garbage

    On to the next

  10. Tough loss. To me we felt missing OG. We need another wing bad. To defend Brown with a small guard was barbecue chicken

  11. 2nd quarter lineup insanity lost us this game.

JB didn’t help, but I’ll ride or die with him forever, no issues here.

    Coach will learn? We hope.

  12. kolek got 10 minutes of run in that 2nd quarter and they just let towns die with the ghost coverage for too long there too. Still should have overcome it though

  13. maybe one of the few optimistic aspects of this loss is that this is the only bad brunson game so far

  14. Brunson 5/20 game, Mike brown playing yabusele + kolek minutes, and Knicks fans freaking out. Relax

  15. I’m not too upset. Brown is experimenting with line up which is good, but maybe don’t play 3 small guards when the celtics have a whole system called “killer whale” ( which is dumb) where all they do is mismatch hunt.

Brunson and KAT didn’t really have it tonight, especially defensively. The defense from them was lazy. mikal, good job.

  16. Why were the 2nd and 3rd quarters ass? Lineups were ass, not sure why we are going out with Jalen/Kolek/KAT or Yabu at any given time.

  17. Team didn’t quit, so that’s a plus. Brunson will bounce back. He’s the man, and I know he’s probably going to be the most miserable person in the world for the next 21 hours. Just sucks it had to be against Boston.

  18. blaming KAT tonight is stupid as fuck, Brunson was the worst player on the court tonight and that’s saying something, c considering scrubs like Jordan Walsh and Josh Minott were out there. It’s ok to put a loss on JB, guys. He’s not super human. Even Jordan didn’t always shoot 60% from the field like his ballwashers want you to believe.

  19. Sharing my comment from the main game thread

    > Unfortunate that we weren’t able to touch the lead again after Q1. Very bad game for Brunson, wasn’t a fan that he was still leading plays on the offense after it’s been clear that was off, also not a fan of him playing D on Jaylen Brown. Thank you Bridges and KAT for the almost comeback in the 2nd half 🙏. Awful performance from the bench this game as well. Props to Jaylen Brown on his 42pts.

    > Hopefully Brunson recovers and uses tomorrow’s game as a warmup, we needddd him in top shape for the upcoming Magics game, it’s time to finally win against them.

  20. Nobody looks like they really want to win except Mikal. We’re good, but I don’t want to settle for that this season.

  21. JB was off due to fatigue imo. Bos ran so much motion through JB he was sweating circa pregame shootaround Ewing and JB hardly ever sweats (usually due to coasting on D).

  22. The game turned obviously in the second but these were the specific points—

KAT hit a 3 to put us up 37-24 and from that moment—they missed 2 foul calls for KAT, then he turned it over and you could see he was mentally out of the game. Brown left that lineup in way too long and the Celtics got to within 3.

Brunson came in and looked lost on offense. He went on a drive under the rim, got whacked by white over the head no call and he was done—Clyde said it he lost his composure

The Mitch delay of game tech

Game was cooked. So Mentally weak when it comes to the refs

Celtics literally fed off of it. Their body language completely changed. What a frustrating game. They have played bad this season but this was complete self destruction.

  23. This might the worst game Brunson has played in a Knicks uniform 💀he’ll bounce back tho

  24. Tbh, losing by 6 despite a game from our superstar that was shockingly out of character is not that bad in the grand scheme of things. The fact we were in it until the end is a great fucking thing, outcome be dammed.

But it does definitely sting to lose Boston after a masterclass from Bridges. Fuck them picks, and fuck Boston.

Get right tomorrow, go Knicks, fuck dooming for no reason.

  25. Brunson sold. But Mike Brown went bust with the bench and rotation beforehand.

ngl… i do miss Thibs riding the refs for terrible officiating.

  26. They need another wing desperately

That Clarkson/brunson/Kolek line up is entirely a product of that brown trusts his small guards but does not trust any of the bench wings. yabu played 7 minutes. He won’t even look at Dadiet or Diawara.

  27. I know wins matter the most, but the process was good. That’s a game they win with every time with even a mediocre Brunson. Brown going off though should also be considered. He’s still a great player.

  28. Between the Giants and the Knicks, we got our asses blasted by those beantown bastards. OK enough alliteration

  29. Let’s be honest though, the Kolek minutes were terrible. Dude would not sniff the court if OG and Shamet were not injured. Turnstiles on defense, poor shooter, and constantly getting faked out by the opposing team.

  30. I want to know Towns’ plus minus when he’s the center against true fives, 6′ 11″ guys that play their primary minutes defensively inside the paint and contest shots at the rim.

Towns gets eaten alive by them.

  31. So the Celtics lose to the Nets and then go on to beat the Pistons, Magic, Cavs, and then us in the span of a week. For some reason, this is making me feel better

  32. Yeah like everyone else I am riding and dying with JB forever, but this was one of his worst games as a Knick. It wasn’t just the shooting and general lack of decisiveness on the offensive end, I also think the Celtics scored about 50 points on him directly tonight. Everybody was targeting him and he offered next to zero resistance. Definitely concerning.
