  2. I don't mind filling spots but I think people are forgetting that it was Clement, Barger, and Lukes that were big parts of what got us to the world series! I don't understand this desire to undo the team that gave us the best post season since the 90's

  6. Well, another item in the consideration for signing both Tucker/bo is similar to what was discussed around the pitching signings – namely that Springer is going to be off the roster after next year.

    It would make next years roster hella expensive, but it would immediately drop once Springer departs and then they don’t have to fill that gap in the same way.

  8. Why are we talking about Edward Rogers' money, when he isn't the one paying the bills? His personal wealth is irrelevant, since he's only listed as the de facto owner for conducting official MLB business (e.g. voting for Commissioner or CBA).
    The Toronto Blue Jays are corporately owned by Rogers Communications, through Rogers Sports and Media – with direct ownership of the Blue Jays transferring to Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment in 2027 or 2028, after Rogers Communications finishes their full buyout of MSLE.

  12. You guys are willing to pay $16,000,000 a year for a player who just creates issues by taking away from a more upside guy like Barger? That $16 million would almost pay for Diaz instead.
    The idea is to improve by strengthening weaknesses not by getting a 3rd baseman when you have a high potential one in Barger already.
