In return, the Red Sox are getting prospect Isaiah Jackson, an outfielder. He was the eighthround pick in the 2025 draft for the Angels out of my alma mater, Arizona State. Uh he is a raw power first prospect that is very athletic, can steal bases. He is a lefty outfielder. I get it. Lefty outfielders. But he’s only 21 years old. He’s got a lot of improvement and development, you know, for the next few years. You’re not going to see him on the big league roster next year. But look, I’m sad that Von Grisomea ended with a whimper. It just never worked out for him. and instead of dfaing him, you trade him to the angels and you get back an intriguing prospect in return.
