  1. Funny thing is the two first round picks the Habs traded for Dobson went on a slender Euro winger (EklundI) and a high scoring physical CHL defenseman (Aitcheson). Arguably they got a better version of both in Zharovsky and Pickford in later rounds.

  2. Great news on Pickford he will be an interesting prospect, the other good news is Montreal‘s remaining 5 Game Rd. trip, every team(TB,FL,ST.L)except for Carolina but that game will be three in four nights for Carolina and Dallas at the end of the road trip, Montreal will be facing teams that will be playing their second game of back to backs other than with Montreal having a day off in between before meeting them, hopefully we can get maximum points out of this road trip…

  3. why didn,t canada pick him up for team canada jr , once again they dont let the best players play .last year the top ppg the top goal scorer and the top point scorer in the CHL didn,t play , there fighting with danger .

  4. yes Engstrom a leftshot does usually play on rightside but with or without him on the Laval roster in April, Im sure Bryce Pickford will sign and play this yr on the Rocket rightside defense

  5. Marco D'Amico is probably the most knowledgeable hockey insider when it comes to the Habs prospects and it's refreshing to see Shaun, who is also very knowledgeable, asking or leading up Marco with interesting questions

  6. I’ve seen Pickford play so many times , this guy is a mix of OEL and Scott Niedermayer . I’m not saying he’s gonna be as great as those two , but he’s a goal scoring defenseman who controls the tempo of the game

  7. Montreal have too many puck moving defensemen , they need to make Xhekaj and Reinbacher good shut down defensemen . Let’s not forget Bogdan who has been the matheson of the kHL for a few years already , than you have Protz , mittlestadt and Handel who are more than respectable prospects on D. Montreal need to start drafting centers the way they drafted defensemen

  8. Hey… it would be interesting to hear your take on why Mtl has been able to repeatedly make great draft picks… picks deep in the second and third rounds. Who do we have on scouting?

  9. Here’s a trade idea , Montreal trades Montambeault, Dach, Beck and Struble to Pittsburgh for Sydney Crosby. Maybe another draft pick to Pittsburgh. The money works out, what say you.
