Special Team(s) | Avalanche Review Game 34

The Colorado Avalanche are carried by elite 5 on 5 play once again as goals from Burns, Necas, and Kelly allow them to survive disastrous special teams play. Colorado might be one of the best regular season teams ever despite a horrible PP.

  1. PP is not a problem right this moment, but if one recalls what happened this past Playoffs, then it is a subject of concern. I mean, one could make an argument, that they lost due to poor PP play. There was a game 4 or 3, I cant recall, where they had 5-3 advantage against Dallas going into OT, and they failed to score, paving a way to Dallas's victory. PP is going to be their downfall, guaranteed, if they wont improve it to where is is somewhat respectable. Look, I am not asking them to leap all the way to the top of PP. All I am asking is being average. Just get to like something 20% success rate.

  2. At this point why even have a powerplay system? Just tell them to ignore any change in the game and play the way they already were. It's baffling how bad it is and yet how great this team is.
