Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Being an Oregon fan is counter productive to the LA area. Merry Xmas
Congratulations Jeff and staff on your You Tube 100k subscriber award! You really should have 200 or 300k more! Love your show, please keep it up! Pura Vida from Costa Rica! Oh, Merry Christmas to everyone also!
This video is outdated. I can't believe the Dodgers signed Kyle Tucker.
I'm not a Ducks fan but i still love sweater. This video is outdated , when you checked your beeper to see who paged you 😅. Tucker is a better hitter. Keep Edmans at second base, he is a gold glover there. Merry Christmas everyone!
Thanks! Merry Christmas
go get bo belchete dodgers mangerment
Dodgers have the best farm system in MLB ; then wait for the harvest. It’s closer than averybody think.
All I want for Christmas is Shohei launching leadoff dingers! 🚀
Mailbag question: what are the best food deals at Dodgers stadium? Hit me with an "entree," drink, and treat.
Merry Christmas
Bichette I can tell you will be a difficult ask given he wants to come back to TO, but you can easily sub him into the infield lineup to help out Betts if you easily get him.
Tucker will help for the first few months while Kike is recovering from elbow surgery, but it does keep his offensive capabilities out of the hands of the other teams.
Congrats on 100k!
Sorry, can’t hear over the zero NC, Phil knights team sweater
is bo have the arm for 3rd base?
Merry Christmas and congratulations to Jeff and the Dodger blue team! I've been watching for 3 or 4 years now and this channel has rapidly become my favorite Dodger channel. Congrats to you guys, can't wait for your next 100,000 subscribers
Joyous Fesitvus
Non-baseball question: I would love to know what your day jobs are, or if YouTube is your full-time job. I'm also curious about ian, if you're allowed to discuss him. Like is he some tech millionaire guy who is funding this channel because he loves the dodgers?
Love Dodgerheads and I hope for another great year Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Jeff! And to all the Dodgers fans everywhere – Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas!!! 🎄
We just have to pretend De Paula, Hope, Sirota, Quintero don’t exist. How many more Gavin Lux’s, Diego Cartaya’s, and Miguel Vargas’s do people have to see to at the very least be cautious of our position player prospects. If they kick down that door and prove they are not Vargas or Cartaya at some point then we look at is a “pleasant surprise”. Andy Pages offensive metrics are bad. Surface level stats show he had a good year which he did but so did James Outman in 2023 when he had bad underlying metrics as well. Pages isn’t a guy that I would puff my chest about or plant a flag and say “This guy is an example of the fact we can develop hitting prospects”. Not in the same way we were able to do with Will Smith since Smith had the not only the surface level stats, but the underlying metrics to make us truly confident this was a guy we can plant our flag on and proclaim a successful POSITION PLAYER prospect. I don’t understand how dodgers fans can feel so confident in stop gapping 2-3 years just to save them a spot like they are hot shit lol
Merry Christmas yall 🫡

Freeman 2 more years left, Teoscar 2 years left, Tanner Scott 3 years left, Edwin Diaz 3 years left, Muncy done after this year, Glasnow 3 years left, Snell 4 years left, Treinen 1 year left, Edman 4 years left, Rojas 1 year left, Kim 3 years left.
This is 199 mil collectively off the books for good by at most the end of the 2029 season.
By 2030 the only semi “big” deals on the books would be:
Yamamoto with 6 years left on his deal by the time 2030 comes around(He has the right to opt out of his contract in 2030 and 2032 though) with 33 mil per year ASSUMING he doesn’t opt out in either 2030 or 2032.
Shohei Ohtani 4 years left on his deal by the time 2030 comes with 46 mil per year
Mookie Betts 3 years left on his deal by the time 2030 comes around with 27 mil per year.
Will Smith 4 years left on his deal 2030 only getting paid 12 mil a year.
118 mil in total on the books in 2030 not including arbitration, pre arbitration, future free agent moves, trades ETC that we simply can’t predict right now. The Competitive Balance Tax is unknown in 2030 but if we use the 2026 CBT of 244 mil and apply it to 2030 for arguments sake the Dodgers would be 126 mil below luxury tax based off what we know is projected of the 2030 payroll as it stands NOW.
Dodgers payroll is in GREAT shape going forward. Even the guys that are on long term deals are ones that we can all agree are huge components of the team that we don’t regret. And by 2030 when all the short term guys whose contracts end by at most the 2029 season are fully off the books Yamamoto, Ohtani, Betts, Smith’s deals will all be very close to potentially ending.
I think Dodgers fans see us spending and just assume we might be cooked in a couple of years and all the money will come back to bite us but Friedman and company set the payroll up beautifully even if the payroll is super high right now. Rest assured not only will we be fine but when some of the younger studs like Gunnar Henderson, James Wood, Paul Skenes, Bobby Witt Jr(Has an opt out in his contract for the 2031 season)are available the Dodgers are going to be ready, willing, and financially powerful/flexible enough to get whoever they want(not that they aren’t financially powerful already even if they have spent a lot recently).
It might be better to pass on Bichette because he's on the IL too often. It might be better to grab Tucker based on Friedman stating how hard it is now to develop prospects at the major league level. Their cash advantage is a real advantage that maybe the Dodgers should go ahead and play the cash card all the way a little more before the collective bargaining agreement comes up. Manfred said it's starting to become a problem which indicates the beginning of the league putting the entire clamps on LA's free spending ways after the DIAZ signing. So it appears as if the game may very well be planning to or building up a consensus to cap unlimited salary cap spending with some bizarre new rules they haven't even concieved of as yet. And LA can't win forever. So maybe the Dodgers should go for the gusto and grab Tucker. He's a little injury prone too. But maybe not as much as Bichette. You gotta figure it's going to be hard for the Dodgers to compete in less than ten years . The contractual obligations multiplied by the star components age factors multiplied by future expected CBA deterrents (to the Dodgers spending) being amplified by perpetual motion cash action , indicates that the league might just make it a little tougher for the Dodgers to utilize the cap rules to blow past any minor luxury tax considerations. So maybe now's their last chance to aquire a solidifying free agent target aquisition such as a KYLE TUCKER!!! You gotta figure you got less than a five year window before something changes in the MLB to alter the Dodgers window of oppurtunity. Never mind what Andrew was saying about not seeing it as a window of oppurtunity. Because nothing lasts forever! So you know it isn't going to last. Not unless you plan to keep replenishing with all the top superstars indefinitely . And even before and after Betts,Freeman, and Ohtani are reaching their mid to late thirties in age. I'm not saying Tucker's quite like those guys. Instead I'm saying that Kyle Tucker is exciting! And if he's added to the Dodgers lineup and team essence , it keeps the energy levels up for the fans and team psychology. I like Ward too. But instead of hating the Dodgers alot of fans might start liking the Dodgers alot more. Fans love the nuts. You can bank on that Stan.
I'd give Tucker the bag and pass on Bichette now. You don't know how those prospects are going to develop and by 2027 and beyond there will always be an opening for a fourth outfielder . Sub roles are going to open up as is third base by 2027 with higher probability. Possibly this year as well with Muncy,Rojas, and Hernandez approaching the end of their tenure at Dodgers stadium. They should rename it Dodgers stadium instead of Dodger stadium. If you want to keep the fans pumping on high octane emotion it only makes incredible sense to target Kyle Tucker . You have to remember at best one of your outfield prospects may match Kyle Tucker . Then a prospect or two could make the team and become a good starting outfielder within one to three years. Edman's most likely to turn into a reserve in some capacity as a permanent super sub. Hes likely to occupy Rojas spot after this season or roam around with Kike . They have to limit Edman's exposure to the field in preperation for the postseason. I like Tucker a ton all of a sudden. And Ward as a fourth outfielder. That's a pretty imposing outfield on offense. And that's exactly how I envision it! It's more dominating if you add Kyle Tucker. And it looks more dominating by all accounts And you'll be fully loaded by adding a Kyle Tucker. When Kike returns there will be a little excess on the 26 man roster with Rojas,Kike, and Edman as super subs but Ward is the first guy up to press for an outfield roster position. With more potentially opening up within the next thousand days or three seasons. Nobody knows for certain. Maybe Ward or another prospect develops into a solid star. But that's unknown and nobody could predict any outfield prospects ceiling. But Tucker is more likely to continue being a dominant hitter with good defensive capabilities. We can't tell that either. But if it looks like he can hit he might be a good gamble. And then if Ward hits bombs it might be a good gamble to have four power hitting outfielders who can do major damages offensively. That would take the onus off of the triumvirate of Betts,Freddie, and Ohtani. Which makes tons of sense! I'd have to bet on Tucker whether he falls apart or not. The Dodgers can make the biggest statement in historical terms by allowing the salary cap to go over 500 million with luxury taxes to secure and solidify a key optimal offensive component when viewed from any angle solidifies the Dodgers offense completely in so many ways. But that's their gamble if they want to add Tucker and his consistent pull swing and power profile. And keep the prospects. I noticed after some thought that the Tigers owner mentioned the Dodgers prospects when talking about Skubal earlier. It occured to me that he was'nt showing it but he was salivating on the inside a little thinking about LA's farm system. It seems unlikely that Skubal will be traded to LA if Friedman is playing close to the vest with the farm. Which seems most likely based on Andrew's past dealings. I would just wait for Skubal to reach free agency if you wanted him that bad.
I'd offer Tucker at least the going rate for Tucker to keep the postseason ball rolling all season long and beyond!!!
Teams usually want to get rid of the guys they don't like! Or they want to dump salary if in a smaller market . But why would you risk going after Duran with his mental history? Tucker makes far more sense with Ward and those other five or so guys on the farm competing for spots in the outfield the next three years. I'd prefer a fully loaded outfield compliment with power, speed, and defense . And tons of quality depth to keep my outfield shored up for ww3.
I wouldn't touch Nootbar or Duran with a ten foot pole. I'm thinking that if the Dodgers are trying to create something memorable like their legacy then it makes sense to do something memorable from a historical perspective and go for Kyle Tucker. And let the salary cap top 500 million or more with the luxury tax. Now that's the kind of statement that you want to make. Why stop where they're at? You want to win that third full season title to be remembered for a few decades as a top team during this era with Stan and Andrew around. And all the players. And there's nothing in the rules that prevents LA from making their team as strong as possible. I like Tucker better than Bichette too. I don't see Bichette as having consistency when he ages. I like the athlete that Tucker is though.
Congrats on the silver play button Jeff, you guys deserve way more than 100K subs! Merry Christmas
What are the chances the blue jays signing Kyle tucker?
