Would you prefer Tate, Tyson, or an EDGE with the Titans’ 1st pick?

  1. I like Tate a whole lot but as long as it’s someone who takes pressure off other WR and is reliable for Cam I’m happy.

IMO I’d draft like this assuming no trades: BPA at WR and then Edge.

If Tate is gone and they like Bain or Reese better then they need to get their guy and pick opposite in R2.

Top 2 picks need to be some combo of edge wr

  2. I feel like we’ve been burned too many times taking a receiver high in the draft. I would prefer taking Bains, Reese, or the safety downs

  3. This front office believes health is paramount. Tyson will not be the pick. Tate or an edge. The scouting was really good last year, so it just depends on how the Titans draft board looks and what our final pick is. It’d be great to be able to trade back and still get an impact player. I like the depth at edge in this draft.

  4. I’m not a causal fan but I’m also not call out coverage and understand schemes and that jazz. That said, Give me another Oline top pick. We could have prime jerry rice, randy moss and larry Fitz on the outside but if ward does not have time to get them the ball its pointless. I like what our young WRs are doing (not that its bad to have options and bigger ceiling players). Heck I feel like our DBs are more a priority than a WR. All that said this could be my life long titans PTSD of drafting WRs

  5. Round 1 – Reese or Bain

Round 2 – Germie Bernard or BPA WR

Then shop for another WR in FA

Wish it was a trade down situation but not sure we have enough bargaining power at pick 5 in this draft. Hopefully Jets and Giants win this weekend

  6. Tate’s got all the tools but his numbers are pretty weak, Tyson checks all the boxes but is a MAJOR injury risk.

There’s not a clear cut #1, so I’ve just decided I’m going to feel good about whoever we take. Same situation if we go pass rusher. Bain, Reese, I don’t really care, I like them both.

Lame cop out answer I know, but similar to last year, there are just a lot of question marks at the top. Luckily solid options at both positions we need, and as much I poo-pooed last years QB draft, this one is significantly worse. Ward would be clear cut #1 this year too.

So fucking glad we got Ward. Makes everything so much simpler.

  7. Your QB is the most valuable thing in football, duh.

That means the second most valuable thing in football is a player who neutralizes the other team’s QB.

So given that our pass rush is basically non-existent, if they like an EDGE, it’s the obvious choice. If not, trading back is probably the move with so many holes to address unless they really believe there’s a game breaking WR (I don’t, but what do I know).

  8. If we can’t trade back, an Edge. I don’t think the #4 pick (or so) is a spot to pick one of these WRs.

  9. Bain or Reese, quality WRs can be had outside the first, not usually the case for edge/pass rushers.

  10. Tate. Even beyond OSU receivers having a massive success rate lately, he just checks so many boxes and has very minimal flaws in his game.

  11. Unless Carnell Tate is there for us I want to trade back there’s so many pieces that need to be upgraded

  12. I would love to get Cam a real weapon but I just feel it’s way too rare to find a dominant edge rusher outside of the draft, therefore, I feel we take Bain/Reese and pay someone big money in FA to address the WR issue.

Keep Ridley, pay Pickens big money & long term, Dike in the slot, Ayo/Restrepo as depth. Big Jeff, Bain/Reese, keep Arden key.

We still need to address corners but i have hope Borganzi can find some decent talent in the mid rounds

  13. I feel like people are helmet scouting Tate. Great hands, great size, but I don’t think he has the nuance of Egbuka, JSN, Olave, etc. If you need someone to win one on one, Tyson is far better.

With that said, Tyson’s injury history is horrifying. The collarbone that knocked him out last year isn’t scary, but the knee the year before and the hamstring this year are definitely concerning.

Okay with Tate, but I think this draft looks better for us on day 2 if we go Edge day 1.

  14. Tyson’s been injured a lot though. That’s always concerning to me. My thoughts: Take an Edge in the first, grab a big receiver like Brazzell from Tennessee in the second of he’s around.
