Thompson showed exactly why Team USA decided to go with him. The guy has always been an elite foward and the more sabres win the more the league will recognize it. I really think getting his name called to represent USA at the Olympics gave him an extra boost tonight.
feel bad for the AP in the editing suite forced to meet the mandatory 11m25s for every highlight reel. so much filler of the least compelling sequences. frequently the rambling commentators are interrupted by a goal. wish it was mostly just on-ice audio with occasional commentary. please build tighter more exciting game recaps for 2026.
