That said I agree with the sentiment. Great turnaround! This team was legitimately unwatchable at the start of the year. I know people were all on board with the tank, but think about teams like Montreal last season. They were in a similar position to the Flames this year at this point, and they made a playoff* appearance. No, they didn’t get anywhere, but the experience alone could be worth as much as a good pick.
When you’ve got a strong system (like the Flames do), winning is a good thing.

Just because the team is performing well, doesn’t mean they aren’t rebuilding. This success should not worry people. We are still a bottom 3 scoring team. We will be trading our best defenseman and likely our leading scorer. This will make it incredibly difficult to keep winning.

Pick a lane, Flames. either get the draft pick or go .500 like every other season. i think we all know which lane they’re in
