I just lo

  1. “Our practice habits are yet to reflect that of a championship team.”

Ever since he said that, it’s been straight business

  2. I liked how he handled the 4000 yard passer question from the recent press conference calling it an “arbitrary” number (which it kinda is). This team is getting ready for the playoffs and that reporter asked a question that has no real bearing on how our season gets measured, and Ben sorta called him out which is how he’s handled a lot of moments like that throughout his first year.

  3. In one of the 1920 videos he calls Jonathan Owens Biles in a clip. Nothing too crazy just like, “Come on Biles.” But it gave me a good laugh.

  4. There was the preseason camp vid where he’s talking to Case Keenum and trying to convince him to run a timed 40. I don’t remember the exact quote, but he’s telling Keenum he can definitely get it under 5 and Keenum says there’s no chance, but he finally runs it.

Looking at the time, Ben says to the coach standing next to him “wow, that’s way over 5” then yells at Keenum “I got 4.7!”

  5. Good. Better Best.

    Never Let it Rest

    Until Your Good Gets Better

    And Your Better Gets Best

  6. also the fourth or fifth good better best celebration where he starts miming a junkie and says “all I want is just a little bit more”

  7. We all have to get better, including me. We won today but not by the amount I wanted.

  8. You tell 99% of the quarterbacks don’t even look over there

Edit: talking about Caleb’s amazing endzone throw to DJ in Cleveland game

  9. I love that he’s not afraid to go toe to toe with media. If they ask questions that will give up game plan or scheme he just gives a little smirk and says “we’ll see”. He’s a psycho and I love it.

  10. honestly the no 50/50 balls is so refreshing. make the guys get open. nothing to contend.

  11. When he talked about playing madden and his favorite thing to do was to turn franchies around

  12. “And to be quite frank with you,I kind of enjoyed beating Matt LaFleur twice a year.”

  13. No block, no rock, because it was incredibly symbolic of how tumultuous our offenses have mainly been over the past decade plus. If we had a talented receiver chances are they were a diva or they fell off after a brutal injury and the rest were wasted potential and lazy bums like Claypool.

There was hardly, if any, accountability for the receiving room for many years. So, to hear Ben declare that so early on into his tenure was beyond invigorating, because it screamed, this guy refuses to accept mediocrity AKA what we’ve been for the past two decades.
