Tage Thompson carries Buffalo Sabres to their tenth win in a row against the Dallas Stars!

The Buffalo Sabres walked into Dallas with a nine game win streak and left with a ten game win streak, led by a super performance by Tage Thompson. Tage leads the way with two goals and an assist, including the most impressive wrist shot we’ve seen from a Sabre all season. Sneaky Joe breaks down Tage’s game, along with Noah Ostlund who made a big impact, Bo Byram who scored his ninth goal of the year to give the Sabres the lead in the second period, and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stepping up. UPL is on fire with three straight starts allowing just one goal. Which is especially huge due to the injury to Alex Lyon.

The numbers also show that the Sabres straight up outplayed the Dallas Stars, one of the best teams in the NHL, in their own building. The Sabres penalty kill completely stifled the Stars elite powerplay. Alex Tuch and Ryan McLeod looked like two elite NFL safeties covering space when on the PK.

  1. That Byram goal was made by him for breaking up the play from Dallas , jumps on the horse and scores. Hes a +11 over the last 5 games too ! on a heater and what a shot man

  2. Iโ€™ve been saying this throughout the streak. The best thing about this style of hockey is the tenacity and toughness they are showing. Their board play, hitting, stick work and even how hard they battle on the faceoff dotโ€ฆ those are the little things they have sustained this streak. Itโ€™s beautiful to see and hope the Sabres can continue to play this way for the entire season. Go Sabres!

  3. UPL outstanding. All 6 Sabres defense men played great. During the streak Sabres are making east / west offensive blue line passes noticably less. Getting puck deep is working. Thompson assist on Doan perfect example.

  4. I noticed the Sabres are just darn more aggressive they seem to be attacking with all 5 guys at once keeping the puck always in enemy zone making a point to keep the SOG edge on everyone they have faced during this streak Bills and Sabs looking good on to the future
