Bill Vinovich aka the NFL’s fixer has been appointed this game. He’s the same ref who reffed the last two of our Super Bowls. You know the horrendous missed holding calls. The missed Helmet to Helmet on Jimmy G, the constant false start by KC that weren’t called.

I’m hoping all the $ is on Seattle so the game is skewed in our favor but he and cheffers crew (last year SB Crew) and the crew that didn’t call PI on the rams v. saints in NFC champ. Are known as the NFL’s crews picked to determine outcomes of the most heavily bet games in the league.

I really hate the NFL doesn’t have checks and balances for these guys but if there’s an NFL directive then OL Bill Vinovich gets the call.

  1. Any source for any NFL games being fixed? You don’t need to believe in every conspiracy you read about. You think the entire NFL would be able to keep match fixing under wraps? Come on. If the NFL was able to fix matches, why do the NYC teams suck so badly?

  2. It was our fault for keeping those games close enough to be decided by a ref. Let’s not blame anyone but ourselves

  3. 3 refs were fired (more accurately I think they were demoted to NCAA) for their questionable calls in chiefs games earlier in 2025 so I’m optimistic the calls will be more fair. That being said I’d rather us have a full healthy team than the 1 seed. If we can have both that’s awesome!

  4. Lol you still believe in that crap? You sound like a sore loser, we kept those games close. Stop blaming anyone but the team.

  5. Let’s not be “those guys”….just let em play ball and enjoy the ride. No excuses 🏈

  6. Well.. shit. We just have to beat them so bad that trash officiating is a non-issue. 😎

  7. Bill vinnovich is also known to not call holding.
Theres no way on the face of the planet that Mahomes dropped back 42 times against Dee Ford, Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead and Deforest Buckner and not a single hold happened all game

  8. There have absolutely been questionable or missed calls over the years; I am also not 100% perfect at my job. It doesn’t mean someone is paying me to screw up.

There are even people who are making bad calls for profit, but they are few and far between for any proven cases.

This kind of silly defeatist mentality does no one any good, and I hope the whole team is smart enough to avoid social media until the season is over.

There is one sure fire way to prevent either of those problems.

Be undeniable. Be unquestionable. Be unbeatable.

  9. I know this will be an unpopular take but I don’t think SB58 (2nd Super Bowl, most recent) was reffed poorly. Also, in the playoffs, it’s a different crew than the ones that do the regular season. Meaning that in the regular season, all vinovich games have the same crew. In the playoffs the crews are mix and match

The first SB in 2020 was bad. The missed holds, especially the one on the 3rd and 15 bomb to tyreek hill. Also will never get over the Kittle OPI at the end of the 1st half. Changed the complexion of the rest of the game

  10. There needs to be a “SkyCam Supreme Court” three tenured and independent refs can vote on plays and overturn rulings. In the last two minutes then can robotically throw flags remotely.

  11. They do have checks and balances with refs. If they are fixing games, why do you still watch?

  12. His team has the lowest flagged calls in the league. Expect a lot of calls missed including holding calls. It’s going to be a blood bath.

Just FYI teams know the refs and play to their tendencies. It’s a non discussion to be had by fans.

  13. If you truly believe the nfl is rigging the games why the fuck are you still watching the sport? It ruins the fun entirely.

  14. A ref known for not calling holding shouldn’t really be an issue when the opposing O-Line has no need to hold the D-line to stop a non existent pass rush. Silver linings!

  15. To all the “the NFL is fixed” chuds: please put your money where your mouth is and bet big on the “fixed” outcome. Provide receipts too.

  16. you guys love making up excuses before the game even happens, idk how you enjoy sports like that

  17. oh good, now i can look forward to an offseason of bitching about refs if the niners lose, thanks OP

  18. If that’s the case, either team could take advantage of that, unless the penalty calls are skewed towards one team.

  19. All the data was against the spread. Nothing about the spread is bad news for the Niners, that’s just title clickbait bullshit

  20. He doesn’t call holding right? So our d line is really bad so holding won’t really hurt then

  21. Probably my least favorite thing about sport subreddits is that everyone in them thinks the announcers and referees specifically hate their team. The Bay Area is a pretty big market, and the 49ers have a pretty big legacy. I doubt the NFL wants the 49ers to lose.

  22. Bill Bellicheck used to do a review of the Refs with his team. And tell his team what they could get away with. Kinda sad it’s gotten to that point

  23. What is this click bait title ?!?! I honestly thought it was worse, that one of our stars got sick and ruled out. No excuses, no explanations, we gotta whoop that ass

  24. The article title and the article itself is total bullshit. It implies something bad actually happened to the 49ers. Nothing could be further from truth. The officiating crew??? Really???

  25. I saw the Brock Purdy photo and immediately almost started to feel nervous. I was worried Purdy got injured.

  26. In summary: the ref crew this sat is not favorable towards the niners and very favorable for the seahawks.

  27. C’mon now! As a Faithful Fan, I’m not taking this bait. No ref conspiracy theories, no league manipulation…..just need our defense to step up. GO 9ERS

  28. We just need to kick their ass. Vinovich or not I have a feeling Shanahan is gonna dial up some nasty shit for this game

  29. With all the gambling bullshit thisnlastnyesr involving basketball and baseball it sure seems like these refs are in on it too.

  30. If the NFL is going to fix the game (they’re not), I’m pretty sure they’d do it in favor of the Cinderella story 49ers playing a SB in their home stadium.
