  1. These shorter contract with decent AAV seems like a good approach for new Japanese players— the team does not get stuck with a long contract if the player fails to adjust, the players gets a chance at an even larger deal if he proves himself against MLB competition

  2. The Astros have a young guy by the name Zach Cole, that showed potential last year. He only played maybe 15 games, but he's a lefty bat, that has speed, power, and can play any outfield position. Hit 4 HR in his short time, and homered on the first MLB pitch he saw. Most likely he'll platoon with Cam Smith in right.
Another player that looks to have potential is AJ Blubaugh. He had a few starts at the tail end of the season, and finished with a 1.69 ERA over 11 games. He came out aggressive, and didn't look intimidated by MLB level hitters.
Astros would have easily won 100 games last year, if not for injury. Missed a lot of games by 4 of their all-star players (Yordan, Pena, Paredes, and Hader), and also missed 50 games from Jake Meyers, who had a breakout season by doing something positive offensively. Hit .290, .350+ OBP, stole 16 bases, and above average defensive outfielder.

  3. Houston has the biggest Asian Chinese District in the United States,, they're top one or two for food,, and top one or two for diversity it's an easy Choice why he came here

  4. Astros have another lefty bat in Zach Cole. And they will likely sign a switch hitting backup catcher. And their SP has a lot of depth.

  5. I felt like Correa going to Houston was going to be interesting but after that trade I don’t think I saw or heard of him again the rest of the season

  6. I don’t care about this signing, but even if this Yankees sign Cody to a deal. They are still only gonna be maybe marginally better next year than they were last year because Cole is returning ..they need more offense. I feel like I’ve been saying this for 10 years, but they mean more guys that make contact more productive outs. Bichette would be nice even though defensively he’s lacking. Figure out where to put him but sign him. He can hit in his sleep.

  7. Hes going to win the CY young and leave us after year 1 for some unGodly amount over like 10 years. Ages 28-36 should be his best 3 years and 3 still great but declining years.

  8. Bros: Hunter Brown (Ace)
    Imai (Ace 2)
Burrows (our team will make him at least a #2
    Javier (REAL 3rd starter)
Arrighetti (13K starts 2x. 10+K games 4 times in his 2024 season. This kid is undervalued. He has #2 stud all over him. Maybe a future ACE.
    Ryan Weiss (KBO Superstar)

We have Ronel Blanco back after the break. Wesneski. We will have a MIND ALTERING TRADE DEADLINE IN 26.

  9. Everyone gets better except the Yankees. Their "analytics will get us a weak WC spot and we hope for the best strategy" will be on full display next year. Yet again.
