My name is EJ Perry. I played for the Jaguars on the practice squad 2022-2024 with a stop at the Texans in between. I have since played in the USFL, UFL, and am currently in the CFL.
It's my offseason and I just started writing about my journey in the NFL and professional football. I will be writing some stuff about the Jaguars. If you guys have anything you want to know about or interesting topics you think I should write about let me know.

Can you talk about how it works just living wise for a player on the practice squad? Sharing apartments? Budgeting? Grocery shopping. Normal life. How you make plans with a family, etc

First off, let me say that I love that are doing this.
What is life like on the practice squad? Do you feel a real connection with the team you are on or just hoping for anyone to pick you?
Do you attend away games?
Is it a challenge with family life due to the uncertainty?
How often is it that coaches force players to a scheme vs coaches fit a scheme around a player’s skillset?
How much time goes into diagnosing opponents’ mismatches vs looking on from their own past week’s performance to correct issues?
How was Trevor and Dougs overall relationship? Did they seem pretty friendly with one another?
In your opinion and experience with the Jags. What was the biggest cause for the dysfunction with the organization at the time?

Happy birthday, I think? I’ll be honest I looked you up to jog my memory and it said January 1st as your birthday on most sources but then on your wikipedia article it lists both August 16 *and* August 26 and now for some reason my brain is fixated on this lol

Do you believe that press Taylor messed up our QBs overall development while you were with us
Was Doug lazy? It seemed like after the first year he just gave all responsibility to Press and always had problems in pressers blaming the players for lack of execution
Are you close at all with Trevor, CJ Beathard, or Mac Jones? Would you consider any of them mentors or were they mostly just peers with more playing time?
What was it like going from the Jags to the Texans and back? Do the coaches from either team try to pick your brain on intel from the previous stop or anything like that?
