  1. Y no first round picks and don’t trade any core players or vessel if sochan unfortunately and like Barnes can land us a younger shooter that average 18-20+ would be a nice starter to add from the PF position really we just need prime Kevin love

  2. N at the moment. we have some potential great shooters (HB, Devin, Julian). We need to be more patient and give them more time. Unless we can get a a player good in 3, defense, and good contract which is really hard. The only good trade if we can get Klay with the pieces we don't need anymore (without pick).

I am more worried about Steph though. In the recent games, he seemed to loss his composure. I love watching him play Steph very much, hope he'll find his rhyme back soon.

  3. I think it's a Y, but like a lot of other people are saying only if we don't give up any core guys. We're a really young team and we often get kinda impatient. Just let this fun ass team rock out, see how far we can get this season, wait for the right time to make trades, and fully lock in a championship team over the next couple seasons

  4. I think he comes back for the laker game next Wednesday. Pacers, Trail Blazers, Grizzlies – shouldn’t need him for those games – it’s a good time to see if Sochan can figure it out

  5. I'm going to sound dumb trying to analyze when the Spurs front office has been so successful, but what I see tells me is the Spurs are an Old School type offense, they should work from in to out.. What I mean is don't rely so much on the 3 point shooting.. They should be looking to play inside and dominate in the paint and blow up their points in the paint and then if needed pass out for the 3… Look at the percentages vs the 3 point shots vs the percentage vs shots in the paint… the two games they lost, if they would have focused way more on 2 pointers, they would have likely won… These teams can't handle the Spurs penetration, strength and size on the interior.. I might be wrong but my math seems to be right…

  6. N. Let the team a season to cook, we'll know way more about team needs after the playoffs.

Obviously, if a good shooter falls in our lap at a discount, we might as well get him.

  7. N. First of all the last I looked Spurs are winning games at a 60 win rate, and the strength of schedule so far is .517(harder than average), so it's borderline insane to jeopardize what they've accomplished so far this season with an unwise trade. If you eliminated all of Stephon Castle's made 3s and attempted 3s the Spurs would have a team 3pt % of 38.8, 4th best in the NBA. Get Castle to stop shooting 3s, at least in the playoffs

  8. Y…. but ONLY if it's a true 'Stretch 4' : no 3&D wings, or guards. Just a rebounding/rim-protecting 3pt shooter to stretch the opponents bigs (e.g. Newell or Matkovic). And the trade can't mean giving up core players (including KJ). Not likely. The GOOD NEWS: Wemby is FINALLY getting passes like the lob-threat he is. For ages it's been frustrating to see Castle feeding Kornet for lobs, but not Wemby. Seems they're figuring that out. 👍

  9. Y… We badly need our outside shooting to go in, consistently, come playoffs time! We already have players — Fox, Castle and Harper — who love to slash their way to the hoop. We badly need players who can knock down 3pointers regularly!

  10. Did you give us an injury update on Devin Vassell? I could have missed it.

And if you are looking for a shooter, at a cheap price, I am thinking Sam Hauser, in Boston. They still need to get under the Luxury Tax, and he has $10 Million salary. Trade Jeremy Sochan to a third team that has a low price player (I am thinking the Heat because they have a great development program, Heat Culture seems right in Sochan’s wheelhouse, and I would love for Sochan to end up somewhere good for him. But this would put them over the Luxury Tax so a forth team might be needed.)
Spurs get Hauser, a phenomenal three point shooter. The Heat get Sochan, an excellent defensive player, and the Celtics get approximately $8 million closer to their goal (and maybe get Keshad Johnson, an incredibly athletic young player that might help more than just be a way to save salary). Win/Win/Win
    What do you think?

  11. Why not giving his chance to Olynyk ? He’s a proven vet, can shoot the 3 ball, has a high basketball IQ and for the few sample size we got to see seems to fit really well with Wemby (like all high IQ offensive players – like Mamu for example). For me we do not need any addition this year… Just more experience playing together

  12. It would be nice to trade for a shooter but who are the Spurs going to trade? Sochan? I don't think there are teams banging on the Spurs door for a guy that has hardly been playing. Which means the Spurs would have to trade rotational player(s) for a shooter that they want. They would be plugging one hole while creating one or two more holes in the roster.
