Lmao
But yeah you gotta have that mindset to play CB in the league. He can’t be worse than the guys we’re rolling out behind Nixon
How did he get the concussion at home?
Better than Valentine and he gets my vote.
Isn’t he statistically the worst in the league?
I mean what do you want him to say ya I’m the worst. Have to have some sort of “I’m the best” mentality.
Maybe Greenbay will bring out that dawg in him. For better or worse, the addition to the roster never hurts.
There’s a very real chance this dude just stopped trying while in Dallas because of toxicity or fallout with coaching and staff. Who knows, maybe coming to Green Bay will reignite his fire.
At this point we need warm bodies GB has zero depth at CB position. Statistically Trevon is at the bottom of the CB heap. He also has incentive to ball out and try to help his FA prospects next year. Maybe a change of scenery helps? Its a roll of the dice. Hell, mediocrity would be an improvement in our CB room right now.
Are these types of captions supposed to be helpful? The words are there for like 1/5 of a second before it goes to the next word… I truly don’t get the point of them
I’ll drink the kook aid and say maybe this guy just needed a change of scenery and that pick machine is still churning in there somewhere
There is no reason as a Packers fan to be hating on this roster move. If he does the bare minimum as a CB it will still be better than the diarrhea that we have seen out there the last few weeks.
At one point, we had LaDarius Gunter matched up against Julio Jones in a playoff game. At another point, Kevin King was on the field.
The bar for bad is real low.
Does anyone else dislike Matt Schneidman? I can’t stand him
Damn him and Keisean will have to duke it out for who’s the best now
Here why you should have optimism. Hafley is a defensive back specialist. He’s been a cornerback coach for a large part of his career. Trevon may have played like shit most of this season but with the right coaching could get back to his form. Look what hafley did with a return specialist(Nixon).
Looking at our CB room gave him a ton of confidence
Time for him to put his money where his mouth is.
Good. Prove it now
This is a guy who refused to rehab his blown out knee with the team doctors/facilities and “did it himself” at home… poorly.
He’s still the same guy he was in Dallas. He’s gonna give up on routes, blame other guys, be a coach’s nightmare, and do the bare minimum. I wouldn’t want with either Diggs brother in our locker room.
Fuck it. We ball.
He is currently rated as one of the five worst cornerbacks against the run and the single worst cornerback against the past.
That’s a kind of best.
He publicly complained about how much is zone the Cowboys play. Wait until she finds out the Packers are in 80% zone team. Not that he’s likely to see the field in any meaningful way
Watch him pull off a Rasul
Worst case scenario, our already rough path doesn’t change
Best case scenario is he gaps into that tank and balls out
I’m not expecting much, but with such a low risk it’s tough not to be hopeful
Whatever dude, our season is over anyway and not like we got anything to lose in the secondary, so go prove the league wrong
Is the actual worst lol
Yeah? Coming from the man who ranked 101st out of 101 CB’s?
I love it. It’s funny, but I love it. Excited to see him out on the field 💪🏼
Buddy if you can tackle a RB in the open field you’ll be a hero here
We should have kept Rasul
Worse case scenario he plays 2 games and is gone. Idk some guys are just need a scenery change.
I gotta say that even if this doesn’t pan out, which I don’t expect it will, i applaud Gutekunst for taking a shot. It tells me two things:
1) They aren’t backing off maximizing this Super Bowl window. The Parsons trade already made this obvious, but good to see them still taking shots even with the injuries
2) At the very least it means they’re aware our CB room is terrible, so I imagine they’re going to push for some FA depth at the position or draft some CBs
The hell else is he supposed to say
I have my doubts to be honest, but if he can become half of who he was a couple seasons ago.. he’ll be a tremendous addition to our secondary
I guess we will find out.
Are they planning on starting him? Or just a depth guy? I guess we are pretty thin at CB so he will probably be in the rotation fairly often
Godammit u better be
