First year without King Kersh feels unreal. Enjoy your retirement, ๐Ÿ‘‘

  1. Iโ€™m relatively new to baseball and Iโ€™m so sad that I missed out on watching this guys career. He seems so awesome and like a joy to watch play.

  2. Let him enjoy retirement and his kids for next few years and heโ€™ll be back with organization in some capacity. Guarantee it.

  3. Itโ€™s going to really hit when the season starts and we donโ€™t see him out there in uniform.

On one hand itโ€™s sad (understandably), especially if some people were hoping he would play a few more years and be around 40 before retiring. On the other hand, he got to go out on his own terms and retire a champion, and you canโ€™t ask for much more than that.

As long as heโ€™s happy and heโ€™s at peace with his decision, thatโ€™s all that matters.

  4. He was one of the best pitchers ever to play for the Dodgers. He will be missed but baseball goes on. I was a Dodger fan for over 40 years before a 20 year old Kershaw made his first start. He will never be forgotten but will be replaced. If you’re lucky enough to watch the Dodgers as long as I have you’ll understand that. It’s so rare that a player plays for the same team for 18 years, he is only the 3rd with the Dodgers, we were so lucky and blessed to have him in blue. Thank you Kersh ๐Ÿ’™

  5. Accepted this reality during the 2024 season. Iโ€™m grateful that he retired on top.

  6. Finished with 3,000 strikeouts, 3 Cy Youngโ€™s, a no-hitter, an MVP, and 3 rings. What more can you ask? Thanks for everything Kersh! ๐Ÿ˜ญ

  7. couldn’t have finished his career a better way. got to 3K, won a ring and pitched well enough to contribute in the regular season and the playoffs. I mean … there are dudes who retire after going 3-10 with a 5.20 ERA and I am glad that wasn’t him !
