That is the exact opposite of how it should have gone.
Brock Faber doesn’t deserve at all. Jones doesn’t deserve over Fox. Like McAvoy but in current condition he doesn’t belong either.
And, Roberson and Caufield way more deserving than JT and Tro or couple of others on US 26.
This roster reeks.
Miller being on this team is WILD.

If Miller’s shitty half season is attributed to injuries then he 100% shouldn’t be on the Olympic roster.
Even the country team means nothing to me anymore. Last 2 years with life outside of hockey and the product on ice I just can’t seem to care anymore
Even as a Vincent Trocheck Enjoyer, he should not be on the Olympic team.
There’s a legit case to be made for JT—he can win faceoffs, PK, and be an effective (but skilled) 4th line checking forward for a team like team USA. Even with down year due to injuries, he has pedigree to justify that 4th line / extra forward role on a team like this.
Trocheck, however, is there for what, faceoffs? Bringing him over someone like Robertson or Debrincat or Caufiled is crazy.
Not even going to talk about the defense.
Guerin shot himself in the dick with this roster. Pound for pound this roster is completely inferior to team Canada. USA is bringing a bronze medal team.
The leadership of USA hockey is unserious about winning between Fox and Robertsons exclusions.
How they’ve picked 8 defenseman, 3 being righty’s and not a single one of them is Adam Fox is literally insane. He’s literally the best American RHD and arguably 2nd best US defenseman behind Quinn Hughes and he doesn’t get picked.
This just goes to show, it didn’t matter how Fox played this year they already made their decision. I mean before he missed 14 games due to injury he was top 3 in defensemen scoring but it just didn’t matter. Trocheck and Miller have been truly awful this year but still made the team. Guerin was hell bent on brining back that four nations team but punishing Fox for one bad play
Makes sense. When healthy he’s only the best D in the NHL

Normally the case, only the greats like Crosby, Ovi can play late into 30s at high level.
And, then there is Marchand! Peary food forever.
They are trying to recreate the Canada/US magic matchup from 4Nations. I’d rather they have Fox in over Miller or Troch. But I can see why Fox was left off. But not including Robertson or Caufield?
