  1. Bam/Ware shared the floor for 17 minutes. 89.5 DEF Rating, 108.1 OFF Rating, 18.6 NET Rating vs the #1 team in the East, and got a win.

Coach Spo said earlier in the season that the only thing holding back the Bam/Ware lineups was getting the defense to perform better in their minutes. Back when he made those comments, he said that he knows the lineup pairing “should” be good defensively, but it hadn’t reflected in the numbers yet.

Tonight was an excellent defensive performance from the two bigs in their minutes together, and they combined for 27 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 blocks.

Hopefully Spo is seeing the light and Bam/Ware are proving to him that they can work well together.

  2. Jus off the eye test the lineups have looked better lately and i don’t see spo going away from ware bam anymore wonder what they’ll do when herro is back

  3. Man we need a serviceable backup center so so bad to really allow these two to play with each other more. I love Herro and have been one of his defenders, but it seems clear he is the piece we should be trading right now if we want to improve the roster without giving up any of the young pieces.

  4. That game last night was fun as shit. Would have been a great one to attend in person. Jaquez saved the game, and Davion sealed it. But it was one of those games where had Miami lost, I wouldn’t had been mad about it at all, because they played hard and unified.

  5. Forgive my ignorance, but could you explain or relate that NET rating vs an average pairings NET rating?  What’s a NET rating that was awesome and what pairing did it belong to?

  6. I checked before the game and every bam/ware line up had a negative net rating. We started off trailing with bam ware but they turned it around.

I don’t think they compliment each other yet but this is a good sign against a very good team. You can only stagger so much and Ware is just too good not try and make this work even if it takes an entire season.
