  1. Framber never gets injured! And for the most part has been effective. Look at his quality starts over the last few years. Do you know what you are talking about Samson?

  2. Yamamoto dominated the npb for years being considered one of the best pitchers of all time in that league while imai just became decent a year or 2 ago.

  3. It's on the GMs and owners if players get overpaid, whatever that even means. Is this a sign that owners are becoming more disciplined? I'm dubious. Players like Ohtani and Yamamoto, and going back Matsui, Tanaka and Ichiro, are going to get paid because scouts can see they are and were elite talents. Players like Murakami and Imai have talent, but they're not guaranteed. Imai is maybe a middle-of-the-rotation to a back-end starter? There's value there, but not the $150MM+ many in the media were predicting. Credit to Boras, though. He's set up Imai for a huge payday if he performs in 2026. If not? He still got him a ton of change.

  4. I do agree at having a deadline for the posted Japanese players, however, the percentage given to the old clubs based on the contract amount of money the players might received is a monopoly, those players are not slaves to be demanding a fee base on the success of a hired, agents already charge a percentage of the revenue already, so a 10 million compensation should suffice to cover the indamination of the loss asset, no other inflated rates should be consider legal.

  5. Why do they have to give the Japanese teams anything. At some point don’t their players get to be free agents? What is this Cuba? Do the guys have to paddle over to Hawaii in home-made rafts?

  6. Imai sabotaged his chances at a big contract. The moment he said "I don't want to join the dodgers I want to take them down", there is nothing wrong with that the problem that caused was dodgers did not offer a big contract to jump start a bid maybe he could've gotten a better deal with another team but he got a decent amount. It really came down to wire for him. 😂
