The Seahawks’ defense is #29 in the league against covering tight ends

>While Seattle is second in the league in points allowed per game (18.1) and fourth in FPI’s DVOA (defense-adjusted value over average), it is not great at covering tight ends. The Seahawks rank 29th in the league in yards allowed per game from a tight end at 67 yards.
It’s Kittle and Tonges szn

If Kittle is even at 3/4 health they are in deep, between him and Tonges and CMC in the middle of the field. They can absolutely be had at LB. Not a good matchup for them vs SF.
I need to see double TE packages tomorrow
While this is obviously a good thing for us, they’re still the #1 run defense and MacDonald’s scheme usually—*not always, but usually*—gives us problems.
I think another big factor this game is going to be the weather. I’ve been watching the reports all week and for Santa Clara between ~4-8pm they keep changing. For now it looks like there’s a decent chance it will be raining at some point during the game, so hopefully we’ve been preparing accordingly.
If it’s a rain game, *and* we’re not able to establish the run against Seattle, then look for Brock to try and throw some quick slants and west coast style passes to try and get our playmakers the ball in space.
Kittle down the middle, Third and Jauan, CMC, Bourne with a clutch catch or two, Robinson to give CMC a breather, Pearsall’s routes, oh and then there’s Juice check in motion. I wanna see a KS play that I know he’s been keeping in his back-pocket.
Tongess and Kittle stunt on these hoes.. please
Hope to see lots of 12 personnel. Curious as to why we haven’t deployed it more often given the GOATE Tonges.
Kittle and Tonges gonna hit some crazy dollar incentive tomorrow that they never hoped to hit. Lol.
