The comments on that original post are brutal.
She’s right but unfortunately, that’s how the game/business has always been. If brain injuries are as serious they say, and outlaw certain hits, then they shouldn’t be showing replays the same way they don’t show replays where legs are snapping.
A lot of the commenters don’t seem to know Ronika is an athlete herself.
Yo, that thread is full of miserable people. God damn
“My husband plays in the NFL” ummm your husband is pookie!!!!! Face of the GB Packers!!!
Jeez looking at that other sub is eye opening. Do people actually..like the injuries?
I get that dominance and athleticism are a big part of the game but I watch the sport to see the most highly skilled players of the game compete with each other, not to see people get hurt. I want to see my team knock the other team on their asses, and then I want to see everyone stand back up.
I get that it doesn’t always happen that way, but that should be the ideal
She is dead fucking on.
They also include hits that are illegal and fined in highlight reels. It’s hypocrisy at it’s finest.
First Lady of Green Bay
What a Queen
I understand why they replay non-gruesome injuries later in the broadcast, but this situation felt a little distasteful. It was deemed an illegal hit, and it was very clearly a head injury from the moment it happened. Still, they kept replaying it frequently as if it were a highlight.
Like if someone is running and pulls up with a hamstring or something, okay. But this was a second illegal hit from that player in this game, obviously causing a brain injury in this instance, being shown over and over again. It was *weird*
The comments in the original post are super tame, yet multiple comments here say they are awful…what am I missing here?
Those replies lol. The type of individual who frequents snark/gossip subs are gremlins
I wouldn’t call this someone who WENT OFF. She was definitely calmly venting her frustrations. Her perspective is valid and she makes a lot of reasonable points.
But again, there is no one going off in this video.
All the comments from that other sub are definitely from the peaked in high school, little man syndrome crowd. Some real Uncle Rico energy over there.
She’s free to express her opinion. From her perspective it’s understandable. Comments from our fans on here are overly harsh.
Good for Ronika. She is so right.
I understand. But I want to see a replay because I care about what happened to the person. Just show what happened once and then stop.
