I think if you’re going to vote for Wright it’s prob inconsistent not to include Utley on the ballot. I’m genuinely annoyed at all of the writers that vote for Utley and not Wright so in a way I appreciate the consistency, but mostly fuck Chase Utley.
It’s nice to see David gaining support as he sticks around on the ballot. I still don’t see him making it in on the general ballot — nor, personally, do I think he should — but he’s definitely the sort of player worth the scrutiny: elite for nearly a decade, career cut short by injury.
Fuck Chase Utley aside.. if he’s in I simply can’t respect the hall. He had a very good career. All timer? Nah. In 100 years we’re gonna be bringing kids to Cooperstown like ‘ooh this was Chase Utley! He was really good! Now let’s go see Aaron Judge’s plaque!’
