12. You put into words exactly why I’m anti Bam. It’s not the bad contract. They can actually get away with that since they have young contributors on rookie contracts making peanuts.

    It’s not that he sucks, although I think he is disturbingly overrated by the team and local media. I don’t think a single thing people say about him is true, whether it’s the defense, the recruiting, the playmaking…none of it is as advertised. He IS still a decent player.

    The reason I’m anti Bam is that he and the Heat put each other before winning. Spo would rather coach Bam than win a championship. Bam would rather be the pride of the Heat than win a championship. It’s weird, and it makes me feel a bit hopeless about winning a chip while he’s in the league.
