Does anyone else remember the huge home upset of the ‘97-‘98 Chicago Bulls? Had no idea a prank caller had a huge influence on the outcome of the game until today.

This was the first basketball game I ever watched on TV, and have since forever been a Wolves fan through the years. At the time, this might have been the biggest win in franchise history.

Guy totally had money on the game, it was a last-ditch effort to help the wolves win/bulls lose. Bet he tells the story every time he gets drunk.
I remember that as a kid, it was our first time ever beating a Jordan lead Bulls squad. As an adult, that is a really fucked up 90’s thing to do to MJ but it worked. One psychopath vs another.
Is this the game that Rodman kicked the cameraman?
That’s messed up
We beat both those bulls and the 73 win warriors
Flip looks proud as hell. RIP King
Old here. Saw the game live and it was awesome. Never knew about this, that sucks.
I will never forget it lol it was a huge deal
I was at that game…
I was at this game as a child and occasionally watch the highlights on YouTube. Great memory
I have a specific memory of very late in the 4th quarter after we’d either tied or taken the lead Stephon Marbury was picking up some Bull (Jordan?) at around half court and slammed his palms against the floor before getting into a defensive crouch and I thought that was really cool.
I was at this game as a young kid. Got tickets for Christmas that year. It was my first Wolves game and made me fall in love with KG and the team. I’ll never forget how weird it was that Jordan didn’t start the second half. BUT what a win it was!
I remember the game, but not the crank call story/situation. That’s fucked up.
The vibes that I remember were that the win was MASSIVE because the Wolves were the young up and coming team and the Bulls were—the Bulls. It felt like this validated that the team was going to be for real.
You could tell that it meant WAY more to the Wolves and our fans than the Bulls.
Surprised he didn’t just decide to drop 60 for fuckin with him. MJ usually performs better when people piss him off.
