Fun idea, we tried, I loved the unis and the entrances and the spectacle of it all, but I’m also fine with leaving the outdoor games up north from now on. Cups are more our thing anyway.

  1. Agree. Events like last night are prime examples of expanding the game, even though we got dominated. Going from a joke of a team to an event like that is wild and something I will be grateful for in the future,

  2. There’s nothing wrong with outdoor games in Florida, we should get another one in the near future.

    Just not the Winter Classic.

  3. Still a memorable winter classic! Our boys rolled up in Miami style despite being trash the whole game

  4. The only thing that might saves us against the Avalanche is that they will be playing back to back games and hopefully tarasov starts tomorrow

  5. It always should have been a stadium series against Tampa, one year here one year at the trop.

  6. Moment we lost jones i knew we were cooked. That and seeing how rough everyone was skating there. Still had a great time

  7. As a long time Panthers fan and someone who plays ice hockey 3 times a week as a goalie —

I’ll call it the way I saw it—
    **The ice was obviously bullshit.**

They even caught Gustav Forsling on a hot mic exclaiming when he lost an edge to a pool of water during an odd-man rush. Players were slipping all over. And in that environment, it’s too casual to be about competition.

Now, if I’m a Rangers fan, I loved watching the Panthers get a beating.
But, as a hockey fan, I just wish it was in a competitive environment where it felt less was dependent on chance.
