NFL insider believes Packers DC Jeff Hafley will get head coach job this cycle

I have personally witnessed him leaving a gathering without slapping his knee and saying “Whelp, its getting late” and continuing the conversation for another half hour
He let the Ravens put up 40+ points with a backup QB
You know the saying “easy as taking candy from a baby”? One time I saw a literal baby take candy from him. It wasn’t even hard, as the dude clearly can’t play defense. Definitely not HC material
Let’s give Al Harris a shot if so.
There’s plenty of head coaches probably getting fired causing them and their coordinators to become available. I like Jim Schwartz Browns DC and I like Jonathan Gannon cardinals head coach as a DC

He took Dorothy Mantooth out for a nice seafood dinner and never called her again.
He said the ending of Stranger Things was pretty good
He goes the speed limit in the left lane.
He doesn’t use old Cool Whip bowls to send leftovers home
He can’t leave yet. The jobs not finished. We need a full season with him and Micah together and then maybe we will allow it 😂😭

I was Jeff Hafley’s roommate in college. Late at night when everyone else was asleep, he’d use the microwave and not stop it at one second so the beep would wake everyone up. Usually it was pizza, but once or twice a month he reheated fish as well.
For these reasons I feel Mr. Hafley should not be considered for a head coaching position at this time, or any time really.
Ok but have they considered this?: No.
Nah, i’m fine with this. Our defense is unserious and the players act like children, not professionals.
Hope him the best but these kids need a stronger hand.
The precipitous drop the defense has taken this past month should disqualify him, alone.
Not to mention that he likes punting small dogs in his spare time, as well as face washing old ladies in the snow.

I saw Hafley walk up to two stands. One was for brats and the other was for Chicago dogs. He got the Chicago. The brats were pre soaked in Guinness too. Every purchase was a donation to a local charity in Wisconsin as well. I slapped the Chicago dog out of his hand and ran away. In his bewilderment he just stood there and sipped a Old Style (jokes on you fucker it’s brewed in Wisconsin).
I heard he was spotted at a bar in Green Bay and left half his beer on the table.

In 2025, the Packers looked elite at times but have since fallen off after losing defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt and edge rusher Micah Parsons to injuries. Green Bay ranks 11th in points and yards allowed and only 27th in takeaways this season.*

Since Micah and Wyatt have been out, our defense has the holding strength of a wet paper towel.
His whole scheme was let an elite front line collapse theirs every single play and let our mediocre corners and safeties defend the rushed balls.
I mean a good plan with what we HAD but not at all head coach level scheming.
I love Hafley and what he brings to GB. I don’t think he’ll leave. The teams that will be searching for coaches should probably be looking for offensive coaches to develop their young QBs (Tennessee, Vegas, Giants) or are incompetent organizations (Jets, browns). I think he’s smart enough to wait for a good opportunity versus taking the first available
I don’t know how his stock can be that high with how this season is ending. That defensive performance against baltimore was one of the worst of any team I think this year. Also, his defense without Micah on the field is mid at best.
Good for Hafley! Hafley, in particular, did the best he could with what he had to work with.
The Parsons trade certainly improved the pass rush, but it came at the expense of the interior defensive line (losing Clark). When Wyatt went down it left the Packers with 3rd string DT’s who can’t stop the run (see Ravens game). Even with Parsons, GB doesn’t have the personnel to stop either the opponents run or pass game consistently.
With Gute’s questionable drafting history, especially on defensive lineman, I”m not optimistic about him plugging the holes next year either. I do appreciate that Gute has tried to improve the team via FA, but it’s yielded questionable results.
I heard he punches babies in his spare time…awful. Just awful…

My wet dream is that he’s head coach of the Packers next year and Matt steps down into the offensive coordinator position
