Personally, I’m not taking this seriously. He didn’t give Cam Ward a first round grade last year, but gave Anthony Richardson and Will Levis one in 2023. Only sharing because draft season is coming.

  1. This guy’s thoughts aside, it’s pretty typical to only have first round grades on about half of the first round.

  2. I agree bolstering the defense first is priority. Just look at the saints game. With mediocre talent Cam put up points. They lost the game because the defense is terrible. Better pass rush and secondary makes it much tougher for QBs to sit back and torch us. Obviously we need more help on offense but with a shitty defense you’ll have to win shootouts every week. Not sustainable.

  3. It’s weird to rank his prospects like this lol but he isn’t really saying anything that anything else is saying, even ordering the prospects in terms of their skill with Love and Downs up top, only dropping in mocks due to positional value but they’re the two best football players in the draft, and he feels that Reese’s play has allowed him to join them above the QBs in this class.

He places Bain below due to the measurables and short arms, and has Tate below due to being next to a superstar generational WR though his production speaks for itself.

    1. Love (RB) comp: Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs – future workhorse RB, great combo of size/speed/production
    2. Downs (S) comp: Kyle Hamilton-like rookie season – prototype NFL safety
    3. Reese (LB/EDGE) comp: Micah Parsons/Abdul Carter speed/power on edge but work in progress still.
    4. Mendoza (QB) comp: Jared Goff
    5. Moore (QB) no comp given
    6. Bain (EDGE) no comp given – questions the arm size, but says he played himself from a second round to a top 10 selection.
    7. Tate (WR) comp: college Justin Jefferson
    8. Woods (DT) comp: Quinnen Williams – good speed power, lacks production
    9. Bailey (EDGE) no comp given – good size, motor, 14.5 sacks, 21% pressure rate
    10. Mauigoa (RT) no comp – good tackle, powerful, has trouble with speed rushers

Honestly if Downs is as good as this guy says he might end up being in play for us.

  4. Carnell Tate didn’t do anything against Miami last week. He didn’t do much against Indiana either. He lit up lesser opponents like Ohio, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. I don’t see any reason that he should be a top 10 pick.
