Probably takes them out of the Bregman running I would assume
One less suitor for Bregman, but Toronto is not fuckin around
We’re gunna end with nothing and we’re going to love it
Does this mean Bregman to the Red Sox? Doesn’t this eliminate Bregman’s leverage?
Blue Jays are not fucking around this off-season, good for them
Huge move for us getting Bregman or Bichette.
I saw somewhere they said 5 year – 160 mil for Bregman on his offer
It’s Dbacks and Cubs who are both cost conscious like us.
This is good I think
Please just re-sign Bregman.
Wonder what this means for Kyle Tucker. I feel like the Blue Jays were the only team linked to him
Excellent more good players being signed while the Red Sox continue to do absolutely nothing
So either Bo or Breg
This was always the frustrating thing about even our best case scenario “just bring Bregman back”. Like sure, but a bunch of other good players are changing teams too, and the al east is going to add a bunch! In no way are we jumping ahead of these teams
We’re just running it back w the addition of Wilson Contreres and Sonny Gray instead of Giolito. Hope this works
Good for them. A crappy defender and unknown commodity in MLB.
They really smashed the piggy bank
This is huge. Makes Bregman / Bichette feel much more likely
Are they gonna add this guy and Bichette? That would be crazy
Time to trade for Marte. Time to get creative Craig
Anyone else leaning toward Bo? I get that free agency often drags out, sometimes intentionally, but this feels like a situation where we could do better.
A four-year, $60M deal likely means Jays are out on Tucker and Bregman to a lesser extent they are likely out on Bo as well.
Hopefully Sox pick up 2 of the 3.
FO padding themselves on the back for making a frugal money ball move by not signing unproven ball players again
I don’t like this. Seems like a very good fit unfortunately. Low pressure for him. Huge plus if he’s good and they can afford to absorb the contract if he underwhelms.
Nice Boston now should drop their offer by 30m for Bregman
4/60 is pretty reasonable. What‘s the book on him defensively at first?
