Will The Lions Make It A First…?

  1. If Dan Campbell and Jared Goff win their first SUPER BOWL together, it would also be the FIRST time in Detroit Lions HISTORY that the team wins a SUPER BOWL!

  2. I hope yall can since my Bills won’t. Lions are my second team because we’re lake erie bros

  3. I love this team

    I love Goff.

Id also run through a wall for Campbell like his players

But we haven’t even ended the season where we missed the playoffs.

  4. DetroitPodcast aka DOC, just wants to move on from Goff. If you follow him, you can see he is very anti-goff.

  5. if he has an elite OL, a good OC and the Defense doesn’t get decimated by game 8, sure.

  6. qb contract extensions will handicap the team’s salary cap (5 year threshold is telling), likely forcing a reliance on underpaid overachievers

    – draft picks
    – injury-prone players that want to do a prove-it deal
    – ringchasers who already did the 2nd contract

ringchasers not joining or giving discounts to qb-coach duos that havent sealed the deal yet

  7. Stats like this are so inherently pointless and dumb. It means nothing. There is nothing saying this could not happen other than historically it hasn’t.

Historically a NFL team had never gone 0-16, but it (sadly) happened.

Historically a NBA team had never won 73 games, but then it happened with Golden State. Also in that same year they were the first team to ever lose in the finals after being up 3-1 in the series.

Historically a 16 seed had never upset a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament until UMBC did it to UVA.

I mean the list goes on. There is no such thing as a 5 year rule. This is objectively stupid.

  8. Marc Ryan on 971 went into this extensively yesterday, they should credit him for it

  9. Disgusting that we had 22 season ending injuries last year.

It should have happened last year

  10. I have no idea what this tweet is even saying. No coach or qb have won their first Super Bowl after 5 seasons together?

  11. This is a function of what happens when coaches don’t have success. There’s nothing special about 5 years.
