26. The NFL needs to do what the NBA and NHL do and let the top teams in each conference make the playoffs. One of the problems in the NFL I think is that with 32 teams there is a dearth of talent, so you probably wouldn't get 7 or 8 winning teams in each conference in the playoffs every year. They need to get away from the "divisional" system, which with Dallas in the NFC east instead of the south, and with the Dolphins in the AFC east and not south, and the Colts in the AFC south and not the north, and the Ravens in the AFC north and not the AFC east is a mockery of the divisional system anyways.
    The NFL is becoming more and more like the CFL just with more teams as North American gridiron football is not global so the talent pool is and has always been less than more international sports. It's not like hockey, basketball, or baseball which are all played by young people all over the world outside North America.
    Also, Joe Montana and Dan Marino used to throw OVER the defense not INTO it! Oy vey.

While I do absolutely think that winning your division – even if it's a bad division- should be rewarded with a home playoff game, I do not feel the same way about a division winner of a wretched division. If your team makes the playoffs at sub .500, even if they are a division winner, they should lose that privilege and have to go on the road in the playoffs.
