  1. I was 9 and cried my eyes out when TO later caught that miracle. What a clear fumble jesus

  2. If I had a nickel for every time my team was on the wrong end of an officiating blunder that caused league wide changes, I’d have two nickels. That isn’t a lot, but it sucks that it has happened twice.

  3. If the Packers won this game, they would have gone to Minneapolis which with the arrival of Moss had killed the Packers twice that season.

  4. My dad had to go for a “walk” after this one. Still have yet to see his face get back to that shade of red.

  5. Will never forget this one or 4th and 26 against the Eagles in the 2003 playoffs. Both would have ended the games with a Packers Win. The epitome of “defeat from the jaws of victory”!

  6. I was working for this game and never watched it after listening to it. Such bullshit.

  7. Well, it was still the 90’s, so the cowboys and 49’ers still got all the calls. Not to mention always having play in Dallas during the season….

  8. I was 14. I made a website fully out of my own html code dedicated to telling the world that this play was a fumble. Wish I could find it on Geocities still.

  9. My mom was usually pretty animated during Packers games, but this one was among the most pissed off I ever saw her, period.

    Clear ass fumble.

  10. Only thing worse was the Seattle game.

3rd place was favrws throw in overtime of the 4th and 26 gane

  11. I was at this game and had no idea how clear it was because as I recall, they didn’t show the replay on the video board. Even the Jumbotron operators knew.

  12. Never forget though, braindead divisional fans will tell you the Packers get all the calls.

  13. I remember being devastated, and of course the 49ers offense used the gift from the refs. I was 16 at the time and really thought the packers were going to the super bowl…then Ray Rhodes the following season…

  14. This is much worse than I remembered it too. Jesus. What were they looking at?

This was Holmgren’s last game too. Lots of noise about him leaving for Seattle in the lead up and I always wondered if it affected how they prepared and played.
