As a fan of the Bears since I was old enough to understand and watch them (I’m 40). I have witnessed 4-5 years where THEY DONT QUIT.

Younger fans, I want you to appreciate this team. I suffered for years of watching players quit and give up. Running backs just lay down at the first hit, receivers give up and scared of getting hit. Secondary have absolutely no idea of their assignments and quit. Besides a few outliers like Peanut.

Ben Johnson is DIFFERENT. He’s not Lovie, Trestman, or Nagy.

These players are playing FOR Ben Johnson and his coaching staff.

We see every ball carrier fighting for more yards, dudes willing to take hits.

The culture has changed.

  1. What a tribute to the Halas family to have this special year donning the VHM patch as well. A season to remember

  2. I was born a Bears fan in 84. It’s been a long hard road to get where we are but I am glad to be here for it.

  3. For the first time in I don’t know how long, I feel like there’s something to look forward to every week. Feels good!

  4. This season has been magical. I couldn’t have even imagined the turnaround. Regardless of if there’s a sophomore slump, the decision making and transparency has been a 180 from where we’ve been.

  5. First season i followed was the 06 season they went to the superbowl. My little kid mind was like “wow the bears are gonna make it to this game every year?!?!?!. Then as I grew, I knew that wasnt the case. I learned more and more about the game and it got me addicted to the bears. This feels so different I cant believe it. Lets go bois.

  6. Not sure why you had to bring Lovie into the conversation and then only make the point that the team is playing for Johnson.

The boys gave their all of Lovie. He gave us a Superbowl run and one of the best defenses of all time.

Ben Johnson is different, but until he gets to the dance. He isn’t better.

We can appreciate this team without denigrating the past.

  7. This is nuts and awesome. For the first time in my life the Bears have a legit franchise QB who is a kind genuine person off the field and a cold hard killer on it. It’s surreal. Loving the coach and culture too. Not sure how to feel. What a year to move to Maine.

  8. It’s not just the ‘they don’t quit’, it’s ACCOUNTABILITY across the board. Accountability from the HC to the other coaches, from the coaches to the players, and from the players to the players. Besides the obvious leadership and ridiculous play calling/design of BJ, this is the biggest difference in this team, compared to years past.

  9. Man if they can just get the defense playing a little better. Could 100 percent win a SB right now. Purdy looks so pedestrian against Seahawks. Holding the ball. Throwing everything high. Bears made him look like Joe Montana. The linebacker play is just so slow. They can’t cover tight ends.

  10. It’s just 2025.

Sorry, I had to. But it’s better than the other form when people say this is the 2026 Super Bowl. I know it’s petty but it goes by the season not the literal year it’s played.

  11. I expected none of this but happy it happen. Even if it comes crashing down in the playoffs I’ll be fine with that. it was great to have a winning season after being ass for so long. Plus the future looks great

  12. Shout out to Dan Roushar too. Probably wasn’t easy to play around with Benedet and Trapilo at tackle with the Braxton and Kiran injuries, especially with the whole interior being revamped going into the season. He’s doing something right and I hope we keep him for a while.
