1. Umm, releasing Fulton, Dana, and Tranquil sounds pretty devastating to me.

   And both Chris Jones and Trey Smith needs to take pay cuts. Jones is a disappointment and Smith got injured too much this season.

   Those 3 moves alone would give Chiefs no more negative cap space.

14. Void years are not usually a good thing, but in moderation (ie: small amounts), like 10M over 5 years max on 1 player could be useful in a pinch (to get everyone needed signed). Not the best option, but it won't tax the future payroll much.

Keep Tranquill, do not touch Jones' contract as you lose the 2027 out on him if you restructure, and be careful with Mahomes' contract as he is still $75 million in 2027 before it becomes more manageable in 2028. Restructuring Mahomes can make that 2027 hit nearly $90 million and screwing up 2028 and 2029. Eat as much of the bad contracts next year which is a rebuild year anyway, and work toward 2027/28.

23. I'm sorry, but "cap space" is meaningless when the Eagles have $427 MILLION committed to void year (fake, non-playing) contracts to spread huge signing bonuses around. There is a reason that team's roster is stacked, year-on-year, to the point where it feels like they are simply buying SBs at this point.

29. I’ve been telling everyone it would be a rough couple of years. Honestly I thought it would start last year… I still can’t believe they made the Super Bowl last year. (They really were not a great team last 2024 season, good team but not great)

    Repeat Super Bowl contenders always start falling apart. One of the most incredibly difficult things in the NFL is consistency of success. (To me making it to the playoffs is a successful year)

    Next year wouldnt be any better even with cap space. After they won back/back Super Bowls. I figured seasons 2024-2026 would be rough and then they’d start getting good again in season 2027. Still might happen.

    But as I said, they somehow made the Siper Bowl in 2024, so the timeline got delayed a bit.

C, OG, DT are the highest paid in the nfl, Mahomes takes team friendly deals, and I hate when others say he’s hurting other quarterbacks bc he’s not taking max money, b***h that’s not your money Mahomes is messing with it’s your go fight and work for it, now usually you can’t pay so many people tip money so I’m guessing alot of ppl are gonna move on this next year, I hope McDuffie isn’t like others (don’t get mad but he to me doesn’t deserve too 5-7 money) and takes a deal where he can keep shining in KC. Had Ty Hill stayed and helped the chiefs win those other SBs he would be considered one of the top 4-5 WRs of all time (possibly #1) but he chased the money and we are all suppose to say “good for him! Ya I’d have done the same”… nah I wouldn’t have, if he would have stayed and helped win those SBs the amount he’d get off endorsements and all other types of things would have equaled to the money he left for, if not more.
