Many fans and pundits may have noticed that Doncic is relying on his jumper more than usual lately. That’s because the future Hall of Famer is dealing with “sharp” pain in his legs, sources said, preventing him from exploding to the basket with ease …
Sources told Lakers Daily that Doncic is playing through “a lot of pain” right now. The former Dallas Mavericks star is dealing with a left elbow injury and “nagging” pain in both legs, sources said.
Doncic has been undergoing “around-the-clock” treatment to suit up for the Lakers, sources said. The 26-year-old doesn’t want to sit out, though, sources said, since Los Angeles is already without Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura and Gabe Vincent.
the guy is supposed to be at the peak of his shape and he is already injury prone smh.
Just let him heal then. He wont make threshold anyway for rewards.
Maybe pass the ball sometimes? No, he is gonna chuck all contested shots through the pain. This dude is disgusting to watch, too selfish.
Story of his career. He will plaster himself like a mummy but won’t stop being available till his legs drop.
When players sit out with minor injury, fans complain. When players play through injury, fans complain.
Then its just next man up. Tired of a garbage bench that we can never rely on cause they dont get enough minutes and reps with the starters or intensity of the nba level
It’s over. We need to rest him and tank.
that’s what happens when you rely on bully ball and play 40 minutes a game because the bench is ass, pelinka will pay for his crimes.
we’re not even midway through the season and he’s already wrapped like a mummy.
I deeply hate when folks try to make excuses for players.
Ok, he is suffering from pain on both legs and an arm, but is it a reason to make excuses for him if he still has a functional arm?
Come on guys, don’t be so soft.
Have you guys ever watched the old movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail? The Black Knight has never made excuses. /s
Sounds like me in my early 20s. I was playing basketball more days than not and for way too many hours each time. I started getting pain down my leg and eventually it got so bad that one day I physically couldn’t get out of bed. Went to the doctor and had multiple X-rays and MRIs to find out I had two massive disc herniations in my back (L4/5 L5/S1) and I needed pretty serious surgery.
I’ll just always remember the doctor I went and saw first him asking me what car accident I was in only for me to reply by telling him I’d played basketball the day before for a few hours. The look of shock on his face as he was in disbelief I was playing with my back he retorted with I’m surprised your walking.
Trevor from LakersNation said that his sources say that this is mostly false and severely overblown
these “sources” saw the last game like the rest of us, eh?
Then don’t man teams don’t care enough to protect the players and the players aren’t going to say to take them out of line ups
cap
This is a recipe for long-term disaster right?
Luka is most effective with a high usage rate and a super heliocentric style of play, but his body clearly can’t withstand that type of volume within a full season. How do you work around that?
When have you EVER seen Luka NOT grimacing, wincing, holding random body parts?? Especially when his shot is off or a team is being physical with him? That’s part of who he is. He has always done it and will always do it. In the finals against Boston the meme was that he’s only injured on defense because on offense he’s moving fine. Laker fans are still new to this but will learn lol
I’m not saying Luka is fat but he definitely gained back some of the weight he lost this summer. That probably does not help with the injuries
