Jeffery Simmons goes in depth about his relationship with Cam Ward and why he wants to stay a Titan: “If I can get Cam to be one of the best leaders in the NFL, we can go places. We know he has the talent.”

1. Genuine question from a relatively young (in terms of fandom) NFL fan— Have we ever seen this kind of relationship bud between a Defensive leader and a QB? If Simmons was an O-Lineman, this feels natural; but for him to take such an interest in how the offense is doing… that SEEMS rare, but I may be wrong.

2. Say what you will about the state of this team but it is refreshing to see players *WANT* to be on the Titans. Even in Simmons’ case, I don’t think I’ve ever heard him be this vocal about wanting to remain with the team.

3. Borgonzi was smart to make Jeff the center piece of our rebuild. Even if he loses a step by the time were competitive, we need him to turn this around. It is pretty apparent he has communicated that with Jeff based on how vocal hes been this year.

4. Was pretty cool we got to go from Jurrell Casey to him. Two guys who literally gave their all out there every play.

5. Jeff has really stepped it up this year. On the field he’s been absolutely amazing, his best year so far. Off the field he has been really great as a leader and mentor for Cam. He’s come a long way from getting into shouting matches with reporters. His shift in play and leadership is really going to help this team turn around.
