  1. [The land is assessed at $20 million dollars](https://www.bcassessment.ca/Property/Info/QTAwMDAwNDdVSA==). If Aquaman won’t even spring for a competent medical team, do you really think he’d pony up $20M to buy an alley that smells like piss that could barely fit a rink, let alone build it AND the other amenities that would be required like parking, player space, etc?

What’s more, the size of that space is TINY! I measured a local arena for minor hockey and figure skating, and it came up to 300m as a perimeter. The space you are suggesting is 230m as a perimeter.

  2. There is no evidence Canucks fans are less mature, less rational, or less knowledgeable than other NHL fanbases but then there are posts like this that really make a person wonder.

  3. Are you thinking the reason there is no practice facility is that management and ownership can’t decide where to put it?

  4. LOL you guys think Frank is going to fork out for premium real estate for a practice facility? He’s cheap! It’ll Burnaby or further.

  5. If the city doesn’t give the land to Aqua for free while also subsidizing the cost to build it wont happen

  6. We could point out 100 spots in Vancouver to build a practice facility but the long and short of it is that Aqualini has no will or adequate funds for a proper facility within Vancouver. Look at our player support staff/medical. There’s no money.
