I think back to the 49ers not making a trade for a defensive linemen at the NFL trade deadline. Not making a move has come back to bite the Niners. They badly needed help.
And don’t hit me with “this was never the year.” The Niners just played in a game to get the 1-seed and home field advantage in a wide open NFC.

If the Rams beat the Cardinals tomorrow; the 49ers will be the 6-seed. If the Rams lose, the Niners will be the 5-seed.
If the Eagles win and Bears lose tomorrow; the Eagles get the 2-seed and the Bears drop to 3.
If the Bears win, they’ll be a be the 2-seed and Eagles will be the 3-seed.
Even though the Bucs beat the Panthers today, if the Falcons win tomorrow, Carolina is in as the NFC South champ.
So the 49ers will either go on the road to play the Bears, Eagles, Panthers or Buccaneers.

The deal is simple they were held to 13 and offense could not score yes it could have been 9 more but even that is 22 from a team who scored 40 plus back to back Kyle missed a chance

Can't depend on undependable players. Backups should be equivalent to other teams starters. If you don't want to play, take off the uniform and stay home. Should be able to give your best, day in and day out each Sunday.

The Niners need to draft or develop a better back up Left Tackle. Austin Pleasants is a joke in Kyle Shanahan's system. They also need to start running two Tight End formations. Kittle and Tonges need to be on the field together. Especially with Juan Jennings being their only good receiver. Pearsal is good, but he is as durable as paper meche.
