Erik karlsson has been rejuvenated under dan muse and has been an absolute monster for us this season.

Keeping the puck in the blue jackets zone for the 6 on 5 was so clutch for us today, and he's been an absolute monster for us this season in creating chances consistently on offense. Dudes a fucking beast!!!!

Legitimately everytime he’s on the ice it feels like we’re getting quality scoring chances cause of his passing ability and his ability to command the entire blueline singlehandedly.
He’s playing better than last year for sure. I liked that play he made in OT when he stripped the puck near the net.
Aside from the putting it in his own net at 0.1 against the ducks, he’s been solid.
Yeah if you look past all the terrible turnovers he’s doing great!
Both he had Graves were asked the difference this year and both said they were told to just play to their strengths and the team would find a way to use that strength to help the team instead of fitting their game to something they weren’t comfortable with. Even though Graves was sent down he was still playing decent at the time.
Yesterday Letang was asked why they’ve played better this year and he said “new coach”. Sully was clearly not it for these high power defense guys like Letang and Karlsson. I know letang has struggled this year but seems to be better with kulak and Erik is night and day to the last few years here. This is old Karlsson
Imagine if the coaching change happened right when he was traded and after his career year in SJ.
I would argue that the jury is still out on this one.
When the Pens decide to play they play but when they phone it in, they phone it in.
I was at the Pens vs. Habs game on December 20 and they were horrible that game. They looked completely off and couldn’t complete any passes.
I’m just stoked to see the team playing better now.
Letang…not so much.
He absolutely is playing like the old him for the most part. I honestly think Letang needs to step it up a little bit more honestly as well!
You mean asking EK65 to be and do EK65 things works better than having him try and be Igor Larionov?
Shocked I am! Shocked I say! Shocked!
As a Sharks fan, I’ve been impressed with Karlsson in every Penguins game I’ve seen this year (minus the 0.1 second own goal). So happy to see him doing well!
Love to see it. LGPens.
He’s been an asset more than a liability this season that’s all I ever wanted from him. He’s been great on this win streak.
He looks great. That’s the player we hoped we were getting from the Sharks.
Do you trade him while his value is high or do you keep him for a potential playoff run?
Been ok
He looks absolutely unreal out there. Crazy what a difference a year has made
I only worry when I see him and Letang together. Both men need a defensive D partner.
It’s really telling that the team made marginal personnel changes in the offseason, and is getting a completely different result on the ice. Even when they lose, they at least look interesting and almost always decently competitive. The room must have been well sick of Sullivan last season.
His advanced stats tell the true story of how good he’s been this season. He’s one of the top 10-12 D in the league.
