Main piece of the Kris Bryant rental trade is back with the organization.

"The San Francisco Giants have signed right-hander Caleb Kilian to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training. This is a low-risk move by the Giants to add some depth to their pitching staff. Kilian missed a majority of the season in 2025 due to injuries. When healthy, Kilian registered a 7.47 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, and 14/8 K/BB ratio across 15 2/3 innings with Triple-A Iowa in the Chicago Cubs organization. The 28-year-old has posted ugly numbers during his short time in the MLB, but he has decent minor-league stats. The Giants took Kilian in the eighth round of the 2019 draft. They believe they can tap into something, but he'll likely spend most of his time at Triple-A.–Andy Webb"

  1. NGL, I was pretty bummed to lose Kilian at the deadline in ’21. Don’t mind having him back in the organization for pitching depth.
