Yankees Sign Adam Kloffenstein, Payton Henry To Minors Contracts

  1. OT: Just curious, but how do minor league managers juggle the incoming/outgoing talent? I assume Cashman handles the actual roster construction on the farms, but those teams are necessarily build for ‘winning it all’.

  2. It’s like watching Major League but in real life. Is Cashman gonna raid the California Penal League next?

Can we get Lou Brown to replace Boone?

“Gimme Vaughn! I know he hasn’t done real well against this guy, but I got a hunch he’s due.” That’s the kind of leadership we need.

  3. No harm. Henry will probably be one of the extra catchers we use in the spring who end up really auditioning for other teams. Kloffenstein sounds more like a typical Blake reclamation project (with a cool name), but either way, there’s never any harm in a minor league deal.
