Historically efficient, on the most run heavy offense in the league. This is the single most impressive WR season in history.

  1. I’m willing to bet if Horton* didn’t get hurt he would have broke the record. He was basically double and triple teamed for the last part of the season.

  2. If he wins super bowl mvp I think it would be. Still definitely an all time great season

  3. It’s up there, but 2008 Steve Smith, 2023 Tyreek Hill and this year’s Puka were all more efficient

Not sure why this is being downvoted, it’s factual. Top 5 yards per route seasons:

2008 Steve Smith: 3.87 YPRR (1,421 receiving yards on 367 routes)

2023 Tyreek Hill: 3.82 YPRR (1,799 yards on 471 routes)

2025 Puka Nacua: 3.71 YPRR (1,715 yards on 462 routes)

    2025 Jaxon Smith-Njigba: 3.62 YPRR (1,793 yards on 495 routes)

2024 Puka Nacua: 3.56 YPRR (990 yards on 278 routes)

Big gap between these 5 and the rest, with below rounding out 6-25:

    2007 Andre Johnson – 3.21 YPRR (851 yards on 265 routes)
    2022 Tyreek Hill – 3.20 YPRR (1,710 yards on 534 routes)
    2016 Rob Gronkowski – 3.20 YPRR (540 yards on 169 routes)
    2021 Cooper Kupp – 3.12 YPRR (1,947 yards on 625 routes)
    2016 Julio Jones – 3.12 YPRR (1,409 yards on 452 routes)
    2019 George Kittle – 3.12 YPRR (1,053 yards on 338 routes)
    2023 Nico Collins – 3.10 YPRR (1,297 yards on 419 routes)
    2011 Victor Cruz – 3.08 YPRR (1,536 yards on 498 routes)
    2017 Julio Jones – 3.08 YPRR (1,444 yards on 469 routes)
    2015 Julio Jones – 3.04 YPRR (1,871 yards on 615 routes)
    2010 Kenny Britt – 3.03 YPRR (775 yards on 256 routes)
    2018 Albert Wilson – 3.03 YPRR (391 yards on 129 routes)
    2012 Andre Johnson – 3.02 YPRR (1,598 yards on 530 routes)
    2008 Roddy White – 3.01 YPRR (1,384 yards on 460 routes)
    2023 Brandon Aiyuk – 3.01 YPRR (1,342 yards on 446 routes)
    2016 Ladarius Green – 3.01 YPRR (304 yards on 101 routes)
    2009 Wes Welker – 3.00 YPRR (1,348 yards on 449 routes)
    2024 AJ Brown – 2.99 YPRR (1,079 yards on 361 routes)
    2021 Deebo Samuel – 2.98 YPRR (1,405 yards on 471 routes)
    2011 Jordy Nelson – 2.98 YPRR (1,263 yards on 424 routes)

JSN was on a historic pace for much of the season, but it fell off as the season went on

  4. Greatest for a seahawk. Greatest in all of the league is a huge stretch. Probably would not even crack top 10 greatest seasons for a WR

  5. I believe the other guy on the Seahawks (Kupp) had the single most impressive WR season in history… But I ain’t mad at yo

  6. I understand your qualifiers, but even with those, it’s not the best WR season by a guy on this roster.

Kupp in ’21 was beyond ridiculous…and that doesn’t even get into the best of Megatron, Jerry, or the OG best season:

Don Hutson in 1942 with 74/1211/17. Second in receptions was 27. He was playing a different game.

  7. It’s top 3 ish probably. Most efficient is definitely an argument but I’m taking Jerry Rice 22 tds on 12 games 1987 season, megatron 1964 yds in 16 games as greater seasons. Randy Moss and Kupp could both be in the mix as well.

  8. JSN didn’t even have the best season in NFC West history. Kupp’s 2021 triple-crown season was better.

  9. I think he’s got a claim for top 10. But greatest? Not so sure. And I love JSN. Hoping he’s got another couple seasons like this ahead of him.

  10. I give him a lot more credit simply because of the offensive style. Dude was doubled A LOT. IMO he is a true number 1 receiver and I was reluctant to say that at first.

There have been a lot of great system receivers who probably wouldn’t be a WR1 on a lot of squads. I don’t watch game film though so I guess some could be said about JSN but I think he would be great playing in a Mcvay offense.
