While this is unlikely to happen, given the state of our farm compared to those other teams, it is interesting to see that the Braves have been linked to so many players this off-season.

  1. when the Dodgers and Braves are mentioned in the same player, we all know where the player is going to wind up

  2. If I were President of Baseball Ops, I would occasionally leak that my team is interested in a player just to see if the Dodgers will jump into the mix and spend more than they should. I’d probably be a pariah. This, among millions of other reasons, is why I do not work in professional baseball.

  3. Can’t wait to eventually get the notification that he went somewhere else in two weeks and the Braves were just used as leverage again

  4. I’m not getting my hopes up, there are like 3 top 10 farm systems in that list and the Braves rank near the bottom of the league. Almost certainly don’t have the prospects to compete if the other teams are serious about it.

  5. The most fun part about being both a Braves and Red Sox fan is seeing both teams involved with and inevitably miss out on the same free agents

  6. The whole showing interest thing to me with the Braves is a nothing burger. AA has said on multiple occasions they show interest/check in on any player available, said it’s their job to check in on any available player. Thats why we also checked in on Devers last season too.
