Former Chicago Bears FED UP with Defensive Effort vs Detroit Lions

The Chicago Bears lost to the Detroit Lions in NFL Week 18 to close out the regular season. Former Chicago Bears Lance Briggs, Jerry Azumah and Corey Wootton join the CHGO Bears Podcast and the three former defensive players are fed up with the Bears defense after failing to get the Lions offense off the field. Is Jaylon Johnson playing injured? Where’s Tyrique Stevenson? And can somebody get to the quarterback?!

  1. You guys, we gave up 19 points and held their RedZone trips to a lot of field goals. The offense needs to get going a lot faster, CAN NOT score 0 in the first half

  2. This game hit me so weird. I'm mad at the defense giving up a million yards to St. Brown but they did hold them to 19 points. The usual offense slow start for 3 quarters is insufferable. 😮😢

  3. I've been saying all year that Kyler Gordan is the heart of that defense, it looks so much different when he is on the field. I hope he is healthy enough for the playoffs.
    🐻⬇️✌️✝️

  4. Brisker cn be cut tomorrow. Gave up 42 last week, amd you are waving detroit off the field after giving them points the first two drives. Go home. Dont come back.

  5. I get that Lance Briggs was a defensive player and our defense isn’t great but I feel like everyone’s just piling on something that they can find the defense held them to 16 points one of the top offices in the league then got an interception that’s exactly what we want.

against the Niners they make them punt against a top offense they made them pump to me. It’s the offense that is the problem that’s not making the place at the right time to allow the defense to get rest.

  6. Jaylon Johnson was trash all day..He got burnt every play..They just kept calling pass plays that made his ass look like just came off the practice squad..HE JUST SUCKED ASS!!!

  7. Im tired of dennis Allen playing man defense against elite speed receivers. He drops linebackers in the middle of the field against receivers that ran a 4.3 smh

  8. Johnson lost speed with injury went from top to bottom with no speed to stay with receivers he used to shut down, pretty sure opponents know this.

  9. If we're being honest, at least half the defense has to go away in the off-season. Also, bad coaching, bad technique, worst effort. I'm tired of hearing how good a DC Allen is. If he's so good why is there so much bad technique?? Why are there no adjustments to what the other team is doing to you and exposing?? Why are there no alerts to certain formations?? He's trash!

  10. My observation is the Bears are unable to force a punt without the rare assistance of a penalty or sack. Add in the occasional takeaway and that's their whole defensive attack. That formula just can't survive against elite offenses in the playoffs.

  11. If Romeo pick was a DL we could be Super Bowl bound. LBs trash. Without TO's you can see why all these players are scrubs on most teams.

  12. Funny thing the defence got tore up but they did only give up two touchdowns. Our offense should’ve done a lot better against that defence and once again our time clock management at the two minute warning was absolutely terrible.

  13. The Bears feel satisfied they got this far. BUT THEY JUST GOT TO THE BATTLE. This team can do it.
Offense has got to score, gotta convert 3rd downs. Offense is making the defense overwork. Offense has gotta put up alot of points because the defense is just not fast enough to penetrate and hunt down'. Defense getting beat.

So Offense has gotta put up alot of points.

  14. Honestly our defense kept us in the game and gave us a chance to win. Detroit was 1/4 in the red zone which is impressive considering how good their offense is, unfortunately Ben’s offensive game plan was effective too late in the game. I think that is the one positive takeaway from the game considering their performance against SF last week and Detroit in week 2

  15. 19 points, I realize it didn’t look good, but at the end of the day, if your defense holds the other team to 19 points, you should win the game. The Bear’s offense cant Wait until the fourth quarter to show up and expect to win the game every week

  16. The Bears don't do anything well; offensively or defensively. Play calling and coaching is meh. Caleb can throw a fastball but I don't see the finesse needed to work down the field and extend drives other than when the opposition is in prevent defense.
