Teams with the most free agents

  1. Yeah but most of them are aged vets. Not sure we actually resign a lot of those guys

  2. At least we aren’t tied down to a lot of bad players, especially on D. I’d have to imagine we don’t take the same one year rental strategy this offseason. We need stability at some point.

  3. Def sign: CRod, Way and Chris Paul.
Sign If Price Is Right: Goldman, McNichols, Jacob Martin, Mariota, Deebo and Trent Scott.
    Cut: Alegretti

  4. Yeah, just because there is high count doesn’t make it tough to decide. Considering the play this season, it should be a lot easier than normal.

  5. Iirc the free agent class isn’t very strong and hasn’t been for a minute. We have a lot of work to do and the roster will look a bit different next season.

  6. Good news: we have a lot of cap space

Bad news: we have a lot of FA to sign/replace

Good news: a lot of the FA are old and/or sucked and we should let them go – zero dead money

Bad news: impact FA cost money, so we may sign 1 or 2 impact players, the rest are going to be pieces or depth

  7. fill the roster with draft picks, UDFAs, and 3-4 veteran FAs

    Results can’t be any worse.

  8. More like a lot of easy decisions. A lot of those free agents are guys like Josh Johnson and Preston Smith filling in for all the guys on IR.

  9. Be interesting to see what offers AP gets to trade down draft pick#7 for more picks or goes w it …

  10. Not a lot of priority to re-sign guys on that list though. Tress will be back I can’t see him going anywhere else at this point. Only other guys I’d really prioritize bringing back are Mariota (if no one else offers him the chance to start), and maybe Chris Paul and Jacob Martin if they are inexpensive. Gonna be a lot of new faces next season.

  11. Ill be the spoiler…..
We wont have a crazy FA.

Its going to be more of the same from the last couple years, mostly roster filler as we continue to draft our young core.

Id expect one or two luvu/kinlaw level players to be signed.
