[O’Connor] The Blazers, Pelicans, and Wizards have emerged as potential suitors for Jonathan Kuminga, with Portland hypothetically positioned to offer a package centered around either Jerami Grant or Jrue Holiday.

  1. Both of them have been very injured, we don’t need another smaller guard. Gimme a package with MPJ, Trey Murphy, or Giannis (hopeless), otherwise I’m good

  2. Holiday?

Kerr seeing another small guard he can play in his 3 or 4 guard line ups.

  3. If it’s Jrue I think I might cry, not happy tears. 4 years ago would have been great but COME ON

  4. Getting holiday in return for the only young athletic player this team has would be just pathetic

  5. Honestly curious to see what warriors get back. And even more curious to see how he develops as a player elsewhere. I wish him all the best and want nothing but greatness for him. He’s more likely to find greatness elsewhere than at this franchise that has a 1-2 year ticking time bomb.

  6. I’m honestly cool with either. The trade would essentially be Kuminga, Hield, and one of our minimums for either Grant or Holiday. Maybe, maybe, we would need to include a heavily protected pick, but this is a pretty good deal in my book. It trades away players we aren’t using for a player that we can and it opens up trades in the future so if they don’t work out, we can match salaries easier when we are looking to do pick heavy trade options for good players.

  7. The interest from Blazers/Pelicans/Wiz is interesting, the other stuff (e.g. Jrue) is just KOC doing the salary matching math – doesn’t sound like we actually inquired about Jrue.

Wiz being in the mix is interesting, but feel like they’d be a third team re-routung Middleton or McCollums expiring.

  8. Both jrue and grant cost around 30 mil too. Is Robert Williams still injured? Honestly would be better option if he is healthy.

  9. Jrue is someone I always wanted on the team. As usual it’s a few years too late. God dammit.

  10. Curry Holiday backcourt would be solid but we still need some size/speed to have a chance in postseason

  11. From Portland, yeah I’d be happy with Jerami Grant. We don’t need more guards unless we give some back as well. And there is a bit of a chance that he suffers a bit of the ‘Oubre syndrome’ of not understanding how to move on the court around Curry’s own movement, but a big body that can give you a scoring punch and is a threat as a shooter… yeah that’s pretty much what this team needs to get back for Kuminga. Obviously not a dream get but the value is what it is right now for JK (and there’s good reason for that).

Not that I would call this deal ‘likely’.

  12. I’d rather MPJ than Jrue. MPJ solves an actual need. Jrue is yet another older guard on an undersized roster without enough scoring.

  13. Holiday is under 6’ 5” and has a “high basketball IQ”. Smells like a typical Warriors transaction.

  14. FO already raising my cortisol levels when we’re a month away from the real action
