“Washington has also had conversations about potentially moving on from [Kliff] Kingsbury even if he doesn’t get a head-coaching job. Some in the building say there’s been a disconnect between Kingsbury and general manager Adam Peters. When was the last time we were watching to see if an offensive coordinator was going to get fired while he was also preparing for head coaching interviews? We’ll see how this shakes out. The Commanders likely won’t make any final decisions until they see how the broader coaching market develops.”

    Remember this draft is not that packed with great talented players. The notion that trading down an option is not smart unless you’re moving down 2-3 spots. But BAN is the pick. He will be a Terrell Suggs type of player. Ban is 8-14sack player a season.

  13. Peters and the front office need to be more proactive in signing players. He can't go through this offseason like he did last offseason. Not keeping things going with McClaurin last year was detrimental to the offense this year.

  14. How would we have gotten the 4th overall pick? I look at the final standings and see 4 teams with 3 wins. If we lost yesterday to the Eagles we would have had 4 wins. Am I missing something here? Plus we would have been tied with the Giants with 4 wins and I'm guessing the Giants would win the tie break. So I see we could of only got the 6th overall pick. Please let me know if my assumptions are not correct

I know you going to do a off season list but this would be mine I would say we have to focus on quality not quantity now and if I’m AP or DQ first and foremost let go of Whitt already like idk why we haven’t received the news already. But I say we need to go for strong targets and stop being so god damn cheap this whole fanbase is always so cheap here is the thing we tried that twice and it did not work out we got to target the blue chip guys like Pierce, Rashad white from Tampa to reunite w JD shouldn’t be expensive actually and a TE like likely or Njoku and if we can at least get a young defensive guy I would be so happy with that again they won’t be cheap but it will be well worth it not to mention giving Burke another season and Luke no more Chris or chosen. Now on the draft all of our focus could go to the defensive side now that the offense would be good at least for one more year but if we getting some defensive guys pls play them idk why in the world we took medrano and in the season he would be able to play more he didn’t like what was that about ? But again we can’t be afraid to spend this offseason the O line help didn’t even protect Jayden because he had no one to throw it to although defense is a bigger need I believe free agency can make our offense get instantly better with just 1-2 extra blue chip pieces and with the draft get either our edge rusher which can help or DBs or a safety which can help the D line.

  28. In all fairness to Joe Whitt he didn’t have all the weapons he needed to succeed, just as kliff didn’t have either ( this was overeation season) we tried the not spending money route & not bring in any playmakers especially on defense & that’s on the general manager ( HTTR’S, HTTC’S)

I have run it 30 times, trading next year 1st and 3rd for this years 10th overall gets Reese at 7 and Downs at 10, I still think winning vs Philly was STUPID thats draft possition for tradeback value thats a free 3rd rounder or better thrown away for pride.because of the philly game outcome I would hate tradebacks now. they threw that away in philly. take 2 players that are both year one starters and homerun picks

  38. i think the commanders should trade down first rounder, and with a 2nd round pick we get from that we get a day one starter at linebacker. Magee needs some more development and bobby is slowing down but it would be nice if we could still have bobby for a run stopper
