I'm unsure about what the Jets should do with Aaron Glenn, but one thing is for sure:
A coach who make a living off of getting picks as a player and was a defensive coordinator on an opportunistic defense the year before should not have a team with the same amount of interceptions as an armchair analyst like myself (yes, everyone in this comment section has the same amount of picks as the 2025 New York Jets)
Potsdam Pots? Do you mean the Potsville Maroons?
The problem with the Jets starts with HORRIBLE ownership. To say that Glen didn’t make a bad team even worse is absolutely wrong.
Rich.. "its never the coaches fault" Eisen… (unless we are talking Urban Meyer)
Glass half-full Jets fan here. While I don't have much faith left he can be the guy, one argument I agree with in regards to why to not blame it entirely on Glenn, is that you can't teach talent. They started the season short-handed. And the roster (especially after the trades) was devoid of much talent overall, sans like 3 or 4 guys. And 2 of those talented guys were the punter and kicker 😆 I'd argue they played motivated and close football the first half of the season. Lost by only 1 score in most of those games. If not for atrocious defensive coaching by Wilks, and bad QB play by Fields (handicapped by not having any WRs sans Wilson), they maybe win a few early games. Once Tyrod got hurt though, it was pretty clear they were tanking after winning those few games. And once Brady Cook solidified he sucked too, it was clear everyone fully bought-in to the tank 😅
Made the offense and the team as a whole worse, although he could claim credit for our odd ST prowess.
Well he promised to be a culture changer. I've just seen him adapt right into the existing jets dysfunctional culture.
This is once in a lifetime bad. There's a chance we never see this level of bad in the NFL ever again
The problem with firing glenn is if you don't have a modern forward thinking offensive coach to replace him, you are right back where you started. If they could get Stefanski pull the trigger.
We successfully tanked for the first time in Jets history. Things are looking up
Of course the coach is to blame! He leads the damned team!! The jets are dysfunctional from top to bottom, rinse and repeat year in, year out.
Aaron Glenn is A problem, not THE problem. The problem is Woody Johnson. He is the worst owner in sports, and as long as he owns this team, they aren't going anywhere
That’s our Jets !
There's no way AG and Moug would pass on a quarterback if Moore or Mendoza are available. They're on the hot seat in 2026 and will need a quarterback to hang their hopes onto going in 2027. A 6 win season with Moore buys them time. With Murray, it buys them the pink slip.
Oh and I have a better chance of playing for the Jets than Arch does. The Manning family would never allow it.
So who are we blaming then hmmm? This coach hand picked justin fields and then refused to hold him accountable for his had play. Glens supposed to be a defensive coach but the team ends the year with no interceptions. So who are we blaming
Tell me one positive about Aaron Glenn’s coaching this year
Richie hates the ✈️ now
What??? the couch sucks ..wake up
It's all about the coaching…in 1958, the Packers finished 1-10-1 when they hired Lombardi to coach starting in 1959. The Packers, before Lombardi arrived, already had Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, Jim Taylor, Ray Nitschke, Boyd Dowler, Max McGee, Jerry Kramer, Jim Ringo, and many more on the team when they were a pathetic 1-10-1. Lombardi acquired in a trade during his rookie season as head coach, Fuzzy Thurston, and Henry Jordan. Many of these players not only became multiple Pro-Bowlers, but also wound up in the HOF. The rest, they say, is history. The Packers, before Lombardi, hadn't had a winning season since 1947! In 1959 (Lombardi's rookie year as HC), 7-5. Next year? 8-4 played, and lost to the Eagles for the NFL Championship, then won 3 NFL Championships, and 2 SuperBowls in the next 7 years. IT'S ALL ABOUT COACHING…THAT'S PROOF.
FFS Rich. You could not be more WRONG. Glenn is not over his head, he is on the bottom of the pool.
The NFL needs to force Woody Johnson to sell.. 5 rookie head coaches in 22 years under Woodys ownership.. that's crazy.. and intentional
This guy Eisen is such a moron. How on earth does this channel have a million subscribers?
Woody Johnson started this with firing Saleh. The only good thing that has happened since 2023 are the picks we have now. And Glenn is NOT the guy to be partaking in these decisions. He is being outcoached at all times.
No disrespect, but Woody Johnson is 78 years old. It’s only a matter of time…
But then again Jerry Jones is 83 and still allegedly dressing himself every morning
Aaron Glenn is not a head coach.
…I mean did you see Aaron coach? Look there are situations where a great coach won’t give you a winning season. Just ask Jimmie Johnson in his first years with the cowboys. But a great coach makes the best decisions at any given moment to give his team a chance. And no one can say Glenn was a great coach. Now should the jets keep Glenn because of continuity and to avoid doing a search they may not be prepared to do? They do have time.
Arch manning is going to go back to college to avoid the Jets like Peyton did lmao
How can u as a defensive coach have a historically bad defense lol
Aaron Glenn can’t coach the jets are cursed as a franchise
Arch Manning will not save the Jets. Unless ownership changes, then they might have a shot.
Put some respect on thier name, this is the historic 2025 new york jets
When the coach says the team gave up….he gave up. Isn’t he the leader? When you see the emotionless coach on the sideline…..that’s all I need to see. Thank you for the year but good day sir. He is one hell of a D coordinator though. Not everyone can fill the role of a head coach.
Eisen the Jew is always trying to project how down he is with the brothers in these moments.
The most delusional fanbase in sports
Jets have had 22 head coaches and only 2 have had a winning record with them. Bill Parcells from 1997 to 1999 and Al Groh in 2000. Guess that was are golden era.
does anybody believe the Jets will get the draft right? nope! another rebuild in 2 years – the life of a Jet Fan
Aaron Glen I believe is a good person. Now as a Head Coach, he does not inspire confidence in his ability to lead a team. He wanted Fields as his quarterback and that was a colossal failure on him. Then the team did not show improvement as the season progressed. If anything, they got much worse in most facets of the game. Way to Go Woody!!! 2026 will be another crappy season for the Jets fans to endure.
It’s 100 percent Aaron Glenn’s fault. It’s his roster and responsibility. He acted like a clown on the sideline and behind the microphone.
No interceptions come on man. The guy sucks
Rich "no accountability" Eisen
No new coach for the Jets because they are a model of consistency.
Don’t blame the guy that an entire NFL team gave up on? A defensive coach whose defense became the first in history to not record an interception? A first time head coach who decided he didn’t need a multi time MVP 1st ballot hall of famer and was really arrogant about it and then went 3-14 while said QB is getting ready for a home playoff game this weekend?
We know why you won’t blame him; he has to get more chances than other people, of course! But be is the only one to blame and is one of the single most ill equipped head coach in professional sports history.
Another crazy stat that may never be broken: since the NFL moved to a 16-game season in 1978 (and later 17 games), every other NFL team in every other season has had at least one player (not necessarily a wide receiver) reach the 400-yard receiving mark. In the case of the 2025 Jets, no player on the entire team, regardless of position, reached 400 receiving yards.
In Bill Parcells' first year as head coach of the New York Giants in 1983, the team had a 3-12-1 record. It's not where you start, it's where you finish. Time will tell
Pottsville Maroons …
In 1964 the Cowboys drafted a midshipman at Annapolis named Roger Staubach. He still had one year left at Annapolis. He would have four years left in Vietnam. When he returned from Naval service, five years after Tex Schramm took a huge chance on him, he was still willing to play football, he led the Cowboys to victories, and he remains the only quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy and enter the Football HOF. But the NFL declared a halt to drafting men who had not declared for the draft. The chances were too real.
